I've got all the story dlc and SoQ but this will be great for anybody who hasn't. It might come in useful if I ever upgrade my computer.

I know, right? This game is so stupid I've spent over a hundred hours playing it and that's why I keep writing hundreds of posts about it on this stupid forum.
Exactly! Every stupid hour I play it gets stupider!

GOTY EDITION WILL BE RELEASED FULL OF BUGS TOO...

Gonna get GOTY when its on sale. In meantime I'll have my 2-4 'basic' DAI character setups done*, and my ME trilogy playthroughs, and I guess KOTOR:KOTFE stuff at some point. Maybe dip into DAI MP.
*Main Nightmare Male Human Mage, Loreful Female Elf Rogue Solasmance, then a Dwarf (female? warrior?) and Qunari (male? warrior or mage?) if I have the time and feel like it. After GOTY all done and DLC complete, I'll be open to up to 4 more playthroughs in Trespasser NewLoot+Trials mode to get almost all options for things done but eh, no idea when I'd play them.

Could anyone with twitter ask the devs if there's a possibility for some kind of GOTY upgrade for those who already got the game but not the extra content?

I didn't know Bethesda was handling the GOTY Edition. <Drum riff>

They say in the goty text that you can choose your MP enemy faction. Unless that's something they plan to do on release, that's false advertising as it is currently random. I hope they actually do add that feature.
Have not played; only seen some Streams and vids, but thought the factions were linked to the maps; incorrect?

I had wondered why they were doing all that stuff for a year-old game, but now there'll be more new players through the GOTY edition.
Edit: sneaky grammar fixes because I was half asleep when I wrote this

They aren't. Maybe it'll be added in a final patch, at least I hope so.

Mark confirmed there is no upgrade path.Could anyone with twitter ask the devs if there's a possibility for some kind of GOTY upgrade for those who already got the game but not the extra content?
You just have to figure if it's cheaper to get the content individually (all of it can be purchased separately) or in the new bundle (which should quickly go down in price anyway).
They're working on a patch, but we have no idea when it will be released or what it will fix (beyond Lunge & Slash and nonfunctional Horn of Valor masterworks at least in multiplayer).Do you suppose there will be a patch to go along with the GOTY edition release?

What's up with all the negativity about "I hope it fails" here? I for sure will buy the next installment if there is one. I want to know how the story concludes, how my choices from past games play a role in the next games. I'd also like to see the rest of Thedas!
Hang around games like WoW for long enough and you'll end up understanding negatively in all it's forms. Usually though it boils down to " They changed x/y/z, so now I hate them and want them to fail!!!! " I too will purchase the next game as long as they can address things like annoying fetch quests and add some more things for the immersion factor, which I'm sure they will do.
I also doubt DA4 will be the last DA game, it's a successful franchise with a large and passionate fanbase, you simply do not discard things like that especially if EA have any say in it, I am curious if my Inquisitor will show up to stop Solas though.

Mike Laidlaw@Mike_Laidlaw: @user Spoilers!
@user: @Mike_Laidlaw No problem, and thank you, sir!
@user: @PatrickWeekes Curious: Can elf-blooded humans ever have phenotypically elven children if each subsequent generation has kids with elves?
Patrick Weekes@PatrickWeekes: @user Nope. "Elf-blooded" is a legal distinction. No genetics in play.
@user: @PatrickWeekes Interesting! So kids of elves & humans are 100% human not just legally but also dont inherit any genetics from the elf parent?
Patrick Weekes@PatrickWeekes: @user YEP. Otherwise two elf-blooded humans could have an elven kid. Which doesn't happen here. So.

This is interesting but weird to me. So if you happen to have one parent who is an elf you share genetically not a single trait with them. You are completely 100 % human. You wouldn't even inherit their eye color or hair color.@user: @Mike_Laidlaw If not too spoilery, given romanced Leliana's remarks in Trespasser, is it safe to assume the HOF was successful in DAI?Tks!

I guess there's a reason, or multiple reasons, or whatever.

I always thought that too. His face always looked kinda elfy. Guess someone on his dad's side must have funky ears.

He didn't have goddamn elfy ears. That is people imagining things.
Look at Alistair or Michel. Could you tell those guys had elven mothers? They looked completely human.
