Yeah I remember reporting that. At least we get a little extra!

At least the servers will still be up, I mean look at how popular ME3 multiplayer still is three years after its release.

They still have enough activity on the bolder's gate (Is that the game?) one to keep it running. It's pretty ancient now!

@davidgaider I'm glad I successfully hid the plate of mini-quiches I was holding in my other hand.
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes@davidgaider I'm glad I successfully hid the plate of mini-quiches I was holding in my other hand.
... presumably by cunningly concealing them behind David Gaider. LOL.
I don't think I had ever seen Patrick Weekes before. Who is the gentleman on the far right?
Also, it's a shame David wasn't in on the whole hat thing.

I heard someone in here might have a source for official heights of Inquisition characters?
I'm being a huge nerd and writing a speculative research paper on DA dragons, and I would love to be able to measure stuff in feet or meters instead of Iron Bull Units. That would be great.
@Biofan (because quoting's not working for me)
Baldur's Gate is the series you're thinking of (which is awesome and is a must-play for people who like party-based RPGs, assuming you don't mind old-timey graphics). I'm not sure if Bioware still runs the servers themselves, though. Beamdog took over the series and has released "enhanced editions" of both games; I don't know if they have their own multiplayer servers for their versions of the games and/or if anyone maintains servers for the old Bioware versions. I still play multiplayer with my dad, but our computers share a wired network so we don't need to go online.
The multiplayer mode for those games is very different from the current style, which may contribute to its longevity. Basically, as many as six players play the single-player campaign cooperatively, with one player designated as the main character. Each player can create their own character and/or control an NPC party member during combat (usually we split it three characters each, one we create and two NPCs). It would be like playing through DA:O with one person controlling the Warden and Alistair and another person controlling Leliana and Oghren, to pick a random party. If you're playing as an NPC, you have no control over their thoughts, so if they get really mad and leave the party you have to find another NPC to take their place. Not sure how things like romances would work (BG2 has four options), but they could probably only be initiated by the main character. Anyway, it's very different from the randomized dungeon crawl, weekend challenge style DAI and other modern games have.
As an aside, I've been one of those people who doesn't own DAI but still follows this thread because I'm a fan of the series. My boyfriend recently bought the game for me for my birthday, though, so now I'll finally be able to see what the fuss is about! Thank you to all of the posters who keep this thread full of news and tweets and (mostly) free of spoilers! ![]()

I would be surprised if that were to be the case, particularly among people of the same race. It's one thing to know that Iron Bull is 7'6" or something, since he is unique, but another matter to know that Cullen, Dorian, and male Trev are all different heights when that is not depicted in the game. I mean, as far as I know there isn't even official** information regarding distance over terrain and the size of Thedas.
** As far as I know, no official maps have ever been released with a scale bar. The only one I'm aware of that has been floating around on the internet was added by some person, or so I thought... I'm not 100% about that, either.
If I try to make December 10th DA day (because 10 is A in Hex) is that:
Vote:
1. Nerdy and stupid
Oooh...

2. SUPER NERDY
Please do this because it's like a month away and DA Day might mean more hints about the future of the series? ![]()
^ Well hopefully he won't take the suggestion for September 30 then, since that has come and gone. Although I did think that was really great.

Ah ok, I knew it was one of those. I've been thinking of giving it a try.
We're not used to seeing Dorian without a mustache. He's starting fresh for #Movember: http://bit.ly/1iXjwKS

Ah, yes! My lips as naked as a magister’s ambition! Gaze upon the face of a prepubescent and know fear! It’s all for a good cause, of course, but even so it’s been years since I felt the brisk air upon my face like this. While I have the chance, I absolutely must go frighten Varric. The dwarf misspelled my name in that damnable book of his – twice! For that he deserves to see what the absence of fabulous truly looks like.
