Oh wow, grats to them!
Oh wow, grats to them!
Indeed! But I wonder how DA:I wound up on this year's award show... DLC maybe?

Congrats to @bioware for winning best console game #CVAwards well deserved!! #DragonAgeInquisition

"I took care of that settlement's ghoul problem."
"Good news! There's another--"
"No. Stop."

"Don't speak. Shh. Shhh."

"This might interest you, ser"
... oh no, wait. that was another game, I think
Oh yeah, guilty as charged.
Granted, ignoring the requisitions never felt like you were ignoring something crucial.

They were still an exercise in tedium. I'd rather have fewer, more meaningful and reactive quests
Yup! If we do another DA “side” quest relevance will be high on my list of things to look at.

OMG don't phrase it that way!
As for the requisitions, while they were tedious, I think they were a decent alternative to acquire power if you wanted. Power is required for parts of the game, and there are several ways of obtaining it. IMO the more options for such things, the better, as long as they are just that: optional.

I think the devs are careful about what they say because accidentally announcing or confirming a new game would have implications for their stock market declaration requirements or something.
Mark Darrah did a whole thing about it one time. Basically they're not being jerks, they're just constrained by a whole bunch of legal and business stuff that fans don't know about.
The next DA will be announced when Bioware and EA are ready to announce it. At least Bioware seems interested in doing it. ![]()

The only thing I'd change about the Requisitions Officer quests would be the fact that (as with the Fallout 4 quests in question) a new one shows up as soon as you finish one, no matter what. If you had to ask the officer for them instead of the other way around (so no exclamation point, and no "This might interest you, ser") I wouldn't have found them annoying at all.
(I'm sure that would have involved additional tedious coding etc. to implement, of course.)
I'd be stunned if there wasn't a DA4, it would practically be tantamount to EA/Bioware saying, "Nah, we don't want to make another successful game."
There will of course be another DA, but they won't announce it until they do.
I really enjoyed DAI (and indeed Fallout 4, whose radial quests work the same way)
though frankly the whole computer RPG market has had its 'side quest' book rewritten by the Witcher III...

Okay, Patrick, an important step in getting the idea approves is actually having the nerve to write it down and say you want to do it.
The alternative is to sneak it in, and let your boss's boss like it enough that it doesn't end up getting cut. #pointedstare
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
I don't see anyone ever doing that. #innocentlook
On this topic, I will take the smug grandparent's view of "wait until YOUR kids do it to YOU."

Is true. You can do.

Have you ever cackled wildly with excitement upon first reading of some of @PatrickWeekes work? ![]()
Yes. That's how we ended up with the Double Daggers tree written in iambic pentameter. Oh, and Tyrdda!

And this is a Good Thing.
