Electronic Arts @EA
We're excited to announce EA Play, an all-new event experience: http://ea.com/Play2016 #PlayEA
^ I don't really follow the industry beyond my favorite games.
So, how likely is it that, because EA is essentially pulling out of E3 and having their own events, that we will see just a smidgen of DA news, perhaps along the lines of a spare announcement that DA4 is green-lit? I'm not looking for any huge revelation, just a confirmation that DA4 is a go; I know that this year will be mainly devoted to ME Andromeda.

0% chance of new Dragon Age announcements at E3. The most you can hope for is some minor bragging about how successfully Inquisition sold, and how its design has influenced Mass Effect: Andromeda.
On the Bioware front at E3 expect a lot of news on Mass Effect: Andromeda, and possibly some news on their new IP. Chances are they'll wait until Mass Effect is out before unveiling the new IP and getting people hyped though. After the new IP is out (likely late 2017 or early 2018) you can start expecting Dragon Age news.
Interesting article. Sometimes time and space between first and current impressions can give a great deal of perspective.
The comments to the article were about what one should expect though....*sigh*.

While we should still just get ready for MEA, this EAPlay thing does increase the chances, to me, of getting information on (non-SWTOR-speaking) Bioware project info. Not particularly Dragon Age (until next year?), but maybe 'NewIP'.

Never. Read. The. Comments. ![]()
The article makes a couple of good points and I'm tempted to give DA2 another playthrough (it's been years since I played it last). It still has my favorite protag (Sarcasti-Hawke), villain (Arishok) and a bunch of my favorite companions (Varric, Izzy, Merrill...). But I won't say that game didn't have a lot of (not-so-small) issues...

If someone were to fashion 10 Commandments for the Internet - that should be first....
You're not wrong about DA2's cast. Arishok and Isabella are among my favourite game characters of any series or generation. I fired it up a couple of months ago, wanting to check on what Hawke looked like for an Inquisition playthrough, then decided to have a little run around. Was good fun.

Wants hot chocolate. Remembers he had his daily allowance already. Has tea instead. Thinks of Solas and sighs.

'As a game developer, what software do you currently use the most?' 'Powerpoint and Excel.' '...' 'Oh! And Visio.'

"What is the thematic reference for this scene?" "Um, this one super-hot animated gif I saw online. Hang on, I can find it."

Have I ever mentioned that I love you, ElitePinecone? In a completely platonic 'this wacky thread you made three and a half years ago is the best' kind of way.
(How many years to you think we have until they open the subforums for DA4 ...?)
Every Word, every line is open for interpretation =)
