Lol, geez, you people. There are alternate stairs down (by Fiona), ya know, you don't have to take the spiral path.

The life and soul of the party arrives next week #Dorian #DragonAge #Magekiller #4

Assume that finance is like the Highlander: they kill each other to gain their power, there can be only one, etc... I'm backing @Scott_Nye_
@BioMarkDarrah I like ....

Fret not, my child
(sorry, it's a bit old so the quality isn't as good as I make now)
"Corypheus is succeeding in opening the fade, Inquisitor!!!!!!"
"No time! I'm swimming in mah gold. Mwuhahahahahaha"
I do lover the dance of questions where an interviewer clearly wants you to say something, and you know they do but won't say it for them.
Yes, I get it. There's a narrative about BioWare you *really* want to be true, but the truth that it's a great place is too boring. Got it.

Seems like some people can't accept that a person would simply want a change of scenery.
Yeah, there's a lot of that conspiracy theorizing going on right now. Clearly all these Bioware devs are walking out because:
1) EA wants to make Mass Effect a MMPORG
2) The next DA game is going to be s**t and they're fleeing a sinking ship
3) there's a giant sentient plant monster that's taken over the studio.

User
So what you're saying is that the rumors of a vile snake pit at the Bioware offices is just that, rumors?
we used to have a snake pit but @JayWatamaniuk showed up with a fedora and a whip and dealt with it
If only he could deal with the rolling boulders. That was a deal-breaker.
Jay Watamaniuk @JayWatamaniuk
I got lost on the way out.

Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
Since working on it today: @eplerjc and I are giving a GDC talk on emotional themes in the Trespasser DLC! http://schedule.gdconf.com/session/dragon-age-inquisition-trespasser-building-to-an-emotional-theme …
'Dragon Age Inquisition': Trespasser - Building to an Emotional Theme
In this talk, the Lead Writer and Lead Narrative Designer of the Dragon Age franchise will take you through the process they used to develop the core narrative and thematic moments in the Trespasser DLC. They'll talk both about the ideas that went from ideation to ship in more-or-less the same shape as well as those that were born, lived, and died within the space of a day - and how they were able to tell the difference when it was still early enough to make the necessary changes.
Takeaway
Attendees will come away from this talk with an understanding of the importance of collaboration, iteration and experience in separating good ideas from bad as early as possible, and turning the good ideas into a shippable product.
kidney punches and face slaps?
I helped! Mostly by picturing what would get @User to call me in a rage at 4 am if she'd romanced Solas.
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
You WROTE some of those lines!

Good grief, I wish there was a way for non-devs to listen in on GDC talks. I'd love to hear that presentation. I hope some of it makes it to BioWare Base panels at some point.

Really, there should be someone there with a camcorder anytime any dev speaks anywhere. ![]()

GDC does have a youtube chanel, but they don't post everything there.

I am Commander Shepnug and this is my favourite beanie on the Citadel. #masseffect #DragonAge

Adorable... Did you make that tiny toque? ![]()

No, the amazing @preshusmage did! She takes commissions! ![]()
3) there's a giant sentient plant monster that's taken over the studio.
They tried to warn us by showing the Thorian and what it could do in Mass Effect 1, but we didn't listen and just thought it was a game. ![]()

It's number three, obviously. Why do you think MEA was delayed? They have to fight off flora attacks while making the game lol. ![]()

Number 1 would be fantastic! Sign me up!
