For Honor is a PVP Game, nothing to do with RPG. It's made thinking more into e-sports, for everything we have seen until now.

For BioWare: You guys better keep up the pace for DA4 to be more epic, because Ubisoft and CDPR are not messing around!
Oh yeah, I'm worried that Ubisoft is going to take over the fantasy genre. 'Cause they've had such a stellar track record up to now. ![]()

All BioWare have to do is get people who are geniuses in combat design and animations, (mocap) and have combat choreographers who are experts of various styles of swordsmanship and hand-to-hand combat.Oh yeah, I'm worried that Ubisoft is going to take over the fantasy genre. 'Cause they've had such a stellar track record up to now.

I hope they don't turn Dragon Age into a hack'n slash. Back to Origins's combat (and its tactics) would be lovely.

Why not? Don't you want to feel like a killing machine? A bad mother******? I think they should introduce hack and slash especially for warrior class, they might as well do it if they want to outweigh Witcher.I hope they don't turn Dragon Age into a hack'n slash. Actually we should be able to talk our way through many encounters in an RPG, something POE did very well, and not be simply a mindless killing machine.

I'm talking about what they can do to make a warrior class the ultimate killing machine, by improving swordplay to be more dynamic and unique and not make it slow and boring to play. I would love to swing my claymore like the knights @ the trailer with my warrior, be able to throw spears, axes, and claymores as ranged weapons like AC:Brotherhood, and have brutal finishing moves like Geralt. Trust me DA4 will be awesome if they just strengthen their combat system.Actually we should be able to talk our way through many encounters in an RPG, something POE did very well, and not be simply a mindless killing machine.

I'm a great fan of a more tactical approach than "button destruction". I also enjoy more thinking than relying in my reflexes. And I think it suits better for the RPG genre (and I'm saying RPG RPG, not things like Dark Souls who calls itself RPG just because of character progression).

I don't believe the gameplay in the video you showed would work in a party based RTWP style of game such as DA.
Having played Witcher 3 and completing a Death march play through with that I don't see that W3 combat would work in DA either which doesn't have a real pause function. What I'd like to see is classes expanded on, and be opened up more.

I'm simply showing the trailer as an example of what combat should be like for the next DA, and Witcher combat system makes Inquisition a joke. And AC: Brotherhood and Revelations have tactical elements and it's an action-adventure game, I like it hen they create ways how you use your assassins to ambush enemies, create distractions to slip through guards, and turn the battlefield. And the siege warfare @ Revelations have tactical depth also and it was executed pretty well. I say why not do the impossible? Its time to break away tradition I say.I don't believe the gameplay in the video you showed would work in a party based RTWP style of game such as DA.

Just giving them a heads up.If you really want to have this discussion, please create a thread outside this one. This is the twitter thread, not combat for the next game thread.
