It's kinda cool that I work in an industry where I get to play games at home for "research"
Is one of those games Witcher 3, Cameron? Are you researching dual protagonists, perhaps? Storytelling methods in an open world? I want to knnnnooooOOOOooooowww!
Ahem. Don't mind me.

Cass and Varric! Solas being a loner fade nerd! Baby griffon! I love that picture. ![]()
And Viv, Bull, and Dorian hanging out actually seems like an interesting trio, now that I think about it. lol

Er.... isn't that how it started with the Quarians? Just sayin.
Seriously, you'd think the last few decades of media would push our species away from the idea of creating AI but we seem to be attempting it more and more lately. And we still can't accurately define what sentience looks like enough that we'll be able to tell if an AI actually has it or just has really complex programming. Which will lead to all sorts of problems in the (relatively near) future.
... Not that this is what EA is doing here, really. Its the same general area though, so it reminded me of the topic. /soapbox

It seems reasonable to me; dystopian sci-fi can certainly be a cautionary tale, but most of it is just entertainment based on 'What if'. I don't think fear should dictate our technological advancement. Artificial intelligence could end up being a great boon for humanity and I'm sure the programmers will take the necessary steps to ensure we don't have a Skynet incident (however low the odds of that happening are in the first place).
Just my 2 credits anyway ![]()
EA Play starts on my birthday. Maker, if there's a DA4 announcement that day...X)
I'd probably keep my expectations low if I were you, just so you don't get disappointed
it's probably still too early for an announcement.

Yes , it seems quite early for an announcement to happen.
Of course I could be wrong , and they could give us a title or something super vague.
Depends on marketing and what they want to promote , if say they feel like promoting Bioware as a company , saying they are working on 3 IP now and thus expanding their catalogue and output , why not.
But whatever they are doing with DA4, it seems still early stage to talk about the game beyond yes they're working on it.

Not particularly concerned about a SKYNET incident so much as the potential human rights angle/nightmare that will result from creating an artificial person in a global society that is far from prepared to acknowledge them as such.
And there's the grey area of how to tell whether they're a person or not in the first place. Some of us can't even agree whether unborn human beings are people, for goodness' sake. AI whose intelligence we've literally programmed ourselves with 1s and 0s? I'm not looking forward to going through society sorting that out.

Agreed, I wouldn't expect to hear much until after MEA is out, and even then they'd probably be focusing on the new IP.

I wonder if it will be a DAO type or DAI type. As in with DAO we just have the party members solving the problem or will we be building an army/faction/country. ( with the war with qunari brewing). I would love a DA game where we get to control a whole kingdom/country like maybe rebuild or enforcing the gray wardens.
I'm not sure if having an army would actually help against Solas. The qunari had quite a few soliders to throw at him and that didn't turn out so hot.

Admittedly it was sort of "on his turf". We don't know how much of DA4 would stay on it though.

I was hoping they would add a tile concerning the Knight's Tomb quest and whether you gave the true account of what happened at Red Crossing to the Chantry or the Dalish. That would have a bigger impact on the world than whether Fairbanks was made noble.

To be fair, we don't know what Fairbanks is going to influence in the future if he's noble, but I definitely agree the decision of whether you found and what you did with the knight's accounting of Red Crossing would be an interesting tile to see.
