I'm having trouble visualising this out of context - is it enemy NPC movement or the party navigation? It sounds interesting if enemies have unique animations depending on the type of terrain they're traversing.

Hopefully we'll get some videos to show it all off sooner rather than later.

I think it affects all, from your protagonist to the enemies. When I read that tweet, the first thing that came to mind was Assassin's Creed 3. If Connor is running on light snow, he will run just fine but with snow that goes above his shin, it makes it much more difficult to move. Imagine that with water, mud and so on and so forth.

@BioMarkDarrah perfect should we ever do a First Person Stabby POV DLC?
[little snip]

How is that a question?  It should be an automatic and resounding "YES!"  :o

You know, speaking of the website update, I'm surprised there isn't already a 30+ page thread declaring that DAI will be terrible because of this line from the website, "a next-generation action RPG".

I'm not sure why anyone would find fault with that statement - is DA:I not gonna be on next-gen consoles?

Then again, this is BSN...

If I thought the description of the game as an action RPG was accurate, that would be problematic.

But prior form says that Bioware just uses "Action RPG" as a bit of random fluff with no reality.

Ah, I overlooked the "action RPG" part.

Whatever. Best let the actual gameplay do the talking whenever they reveal that and save the 30+ page flame wars for then.

Somepeople use action RPGs for every games that don't use turn-based combat. I think even DAO was caleld action RPG by some people. Doesn't mean much.

I'll see what I can do, it looks like the panel will be more of a community event but I did plan to post a summary of any new hints or information. They'll be talking about the Mass Effect series too, so it's not an hour of 100% Dragon Age.

If by "some people" you mean "Bioware', then yes, "some people" called it an action RPG.

In a less snarky way of putting it, Bioware's been calling what they do an action RPG for a while. :)

So weather having an effect on the way people move around like the sacred ashes trailer (clutching onto cloaks, heads down etc) could be a thing? That would be pretty neat.

is there a problem with dragon age : inquisition policy = sheeeeeeeeeeeee because we are nearly to 1 year of the release maybe a little longer and we see nothing about it except a trailer and screeshot of the trailer . i think they don't want to show the game so early but a gameplay of it ( one minute , 2 minute will be enought for the fan ).i hope we don't need to wait next e3 to have it p

No, except that there's room for future volumes (presumably, if it sells well enough).

I haven't even started figuring out what the hell to go to yet. Do you have to book to see panels and stuff? (I picture this one being busy.)

I think it's mostly queueing. I have no idea how popular any of the panels will be, or how many people are even going, so I'll see on the day. Bioware's one in the afternoon is probably what I'm looking forward to the most, so I'd be disappointed if it was too full to get into.

I don't know how many are going either, but they are putting on extra trams. Good luck queuing. I'll have to see how I'm committed. :(

"So checking the progress of the project it's more like 2/3 approved,
with all but 4 chapters having passed through Bioware either approved or
needing for minor revisions".
