A character driven (psychological) horror game from Bioware would be really awesome. I'm still hoping the Secret IP will have at least some horror elements.
It would be interesting. I don't know how you'd keep the tension with their usual group-based setup. But if you mean character driven in the sense that you only play one person, but the other characters are interesting, then that's much more workable, I think.
Though, I dunno. They *could* still do a squad. The Asari monastery was pretty creepy to me first time through, and I had armor, a sniper rifle, and Garrus with me. ![]()

Speaking of horror...
Never underestimate the power of Total Panic.

I mean character driven, as in characters and their emotions is what drives the story, like Silent Hill 2 and (mostly) Dragon Age 2. Any horror game from BW would probably have to be closer in party management to ME - you control just one character and can only give out commands, and there would have to be 1-2 companions at most. Usually horror games with a squad give the characters guns and the ability to kill most of the enemies. You could make the characters nearly defenceless, separate the team, maybe even have one of them die. I haven't played it, but from what I've seen, Until Dawn tried that approach. There are enough ways to build suspense that you can limit isolation, and still have a scary game.
I thought the 1st F.E.A.R. game pulled off the scary horror thing pretty well imo. I liked that game quite a bit.

I'll just leave this here.
...
Is it bad that I immediately tried to think of the creepiest possible question to ask, for laughs?
And is it good that I couldn't even think of one creepy question?
Anyway, good luck with the interview! I look forward to it.

HRUNGR! The forums are closing!
http://blog.bioware....ing-our-forums/
With so many great things so widely available, our developers today find themselves spending more time on other sites, and less time in our own forums. And to our fans and players who came to those boards looking to talk to us, it was a great disservice.
The forums are closing and the basic logic is b/c the devs spend more time on twitter and social media platforms than on the forums! You're our twitter guru. Please tweet at them that this is really stupid. Or, more diplomatically, that we like our forums and please don't shut them down. Anyone else who twitters, please do the same! (The more diplomatic response, I mean.)

So sad.

The BioWare forums are where I truly became “a fan”. It’s where I was able to interact with other fans, share ideas, be kept informed on game development, and form a deeper love with BioWare products. I’ll put it this way: without the forums having been there, there probably wouldn’t be a BioFan today. I’m very disappointed in the decision to close down the forums. Sure there are other social media platforms for fans, but none that quite offered the same level of organized development information or longer-term common interest discussion. If fans wanted to get together to share their love/ideas/theories/etc for a character (like Cullen for example) the forums offered a great venue to discuss the character over a longer period of time. The forums served, for many, as an easy medium to navigate and learn details about upcoming games they were interested in. Other social media outlets offer this, but in a much more limited or time sensitive manner. While the developers themselves may not visit the forums often, it is a well-used venue for the BioWare community.
...They really don't get that fans of their games come to these forums to discuss them with EACH OTHER?HRUNGR! The forums are closing!

Hey Everyone,
Please be aware that if you are interested in discussing the closure of the forums, please do so in the official thread here. Please do not go off-topic in this thread. Despite the announcement, the rules of the boards are still in place.
Thanks you for understanding.
If this forum is closing someone should make a blog or something for these twitter stuff. And post the link here before it closes. This is almost the only topic I visit regulary and I want to be up to date about DA things.

I'd love to see hrungr start a blog. I'd follow the bajeezus outta that!

It is on-topic to talk about Twitter, the future of The Twitter Thread, and tweets from Bioware on The Twitter Thread.
No more terrible Eye of ElitePinecone when we get too excited though.
Give EP mod privileges or something? Or a really cool gif.
I think they kidnapped Hrungr.
