Yeah. I'm not super happy about this. I'm not really interested in reading blogs, I want to be able to discuss news and have fun with other fans. It's the interaction that I enjoy about this place. I want to be able to talk about the characters in X pages long threads full of art and character-specific discussions, that don't get shut down and disappear into the void after Y months. I feel like cracking down with the banhammer and stricter mods could have cleaned this place up nicely, and I feel like it still fills a function that's not present on the other platforms.
I'm going to miss the Twitter thread, the character threads.and the speculation threads. It's been fun you guys.
Yup, that's exactly right. This forum, just like all forums, is primarily a social place, not a means to interact with devs. It's a place where people who share interests can go and discuss what they love, learn things, and get to know each other. This will simply not happen to the extent it can here on any of the places they listed. This really gets under my skin.
This is a centralized location dedicated to discussing all things Bioware, in a format superior to Reddit, Facebook and Tumblr. We can't have the kind of discussions we've had here on social media sites. This is a place for fans. We have a community here. Please don't do this.

Exactly. Reddit may be a forum, not like the other "options" listed, but even it will never come close to what we have here. The layout and style of Reddit just won't do. No easy subcategories, no archived, detailed, easy-to-access-months-later game guides and information, no years-long megathreads for characters, art, screenshots, etc. And in my opinion it's much less personal due to the comment layout, lack of avatars, and other factors that make it hard to get to know what specific people are like.
Bioware obviously doesn't understand that this is a place for us, though. The community. Not them, not the devs, us. Fans. And finally, saj;lakfjdsklgfjdsgklhsldkghldgdh
