I was fortunate enough to get into the panel too, so I'll throw in my 2 Australian cents.

EP covered just about everything though!

- The DAI artwork of the Inquisitor reaching for a helmet (and wearing rings) is more about a representation of the player being immersed into the game, and that it's *our* story. This was a theme that they constantly repeated, they want DA Inquisition to feel like "our" story. Cameron said people had wondered a lot about who the helmet figure was, and what the rings were for - he never really explained either of them, though.
To me it sounded like the figure behind the helm and what the rings and helmet meant were not supposed to be important of themselves. The idea behind the image, of the figure offering the helmet to the viewer, was meant to be like an invitation. Sort of like the 'Join Us' slogan of DA:O, I guess, but in picture form.
The story is a long one (that sounds obvious but it was part of a larger sentence and I forget the second part).
Basically he said they listened to players and decided to go back to an epic sweeping story instead of the more personal narrative style of DA2.
Another section of the E3 trailer was intended to represent "decisions that matter". The scene with Varric and the dead bodies actually occurs in the game - a village is destroyed and its people wiped out because of actions that the Inquisitor did, or failed to do. They want consequences for our choices to ripple through the game.
This bit was cool. I wanted to ask if these decisions could have a drastic effect on the endgame as well as smaller scenes within, but I bet I wouldn't have gotten an answer. XD
Old news, but the player leads the Inquisition - and the Inquisition is not part of the Chantry.
They also said that any direction the Inquisition takes will be the Player's call. I took this to mean you might be able to ally yourselves with certain groups, but initially you are not affiliated with any of them.
- Three new pieces of concept art (I don't have pictures, but people were taking them):
- A desert scene, Cameron mentioned it had oases, with a door and some kind of symbol above it.
This scene really reminded me of the secret door in Lord of the Rings, that leads to the Mines of Moria. It had a pool out the front (part of the oasis, I assume) and the glowing symbol on/above the door, which looked like it was just cracking open with light coming through.
I think that's it on the DAI front. And ditto on the Bioware panel being really nice in person.
