It's still possible that they can present something from DA: I on that event.

some people want to know , there is no presence of dragon age inquisition for the gamescom this is ea line up for the gamescom :

Battlefield 4
Command & Conquer
FIFA 14
Les Sims 4
Need for Speed Rivals
Titanfall
mobile game EA All Play, Chillingo et PopCap.

Ugh, guess I'll stay at the hotel and get drunk .... :crying: EA is still listed for RP games though, unless I'm wrong none of those listed here fall in that category.

If I understand things correctly, these are the games that will be playable in Cologne ( electronictheatre.co.uk/events/39938/electronic-arts-reveal-gamescom-line-up ); nothing about presentations or non-interactive 'demos'.

Still, wouldn't get my hopes up.

And don't get drunk in the hotel. Plenty to see in Köln ;).

I'm hoping for at least a tid bit of information, hoping BioWare will show up at least to meet the fans or something /sigh. I'm going by myself and Koeln seems really big and really intimitating

The Gamescom or the city?
The Koelnmesse is in the outskirts of the city, but a visit to the city centre is well worth it.  The Cathedral and the Römisch-Germanisches Museum (if you like that sort of thing), are two of the highlights of the city (and they're next to each other).
There are also several reenactment / larp stores where you can get a suit of real plate armour, if you and your wallet are willing :D

Anyway, relax and have fun!

It's strange if the quotes goes with the pictures , seems like the Old Gods were burried in temple/prison.
I always assume that they were just burried under tons of dirt , and prison was a metaphor .

It seems like it may be sealed with strange writings , and ...now i wonder how do you make a dragon enter a building....
Anyway someone build those prison , I doubt the maker was a carpenter .
Back in the day , being andrastian wasn't the thing , so ...who the hell build this!?
Dwarves would know how to create underground temple , I guess...but that doesn't make much sense .

Damn , it would be super cool to walk into an old god prison .

Good old human sweat and toil would suffice. Ever heard of a place called Abu Simbel? If Bronze Age Egyptians could do that, what could Iron Age-equivalent Tevinters + magic do?

The quote is from the Chant of Light.

The Old Gods will call to you,
From their ancient prisons they will sing.
Dragons with wicked eyes and wicked hearts,
On blacken'd wings does deceit take flight,
The first of My children, lost to night.

-Silence 3:6, Dissonant Verse

The dissonant verses have been struck from the canonical Chant, so I guess the notion that the Maker's first children are the Old Gods is heretical?

Anyway, my guess is that that could just be some Old God cult temple or something? In the PAX Aus panel, Cameron said this place was in the game and "badass."

Pretty. <3

Could that truly be the prison of an Old God? Or simply an ancient temple with a connection to them?

Gorgeous environment. Hmm... I wonder exactly when the Old Gods were imprisoned. It would seem they were already trapped by the time they started talking to the Tevinter Dreamers. And the only other lore that seems to hint at anything is the Dalish story involving Fen'Harel, which they tie to the fall of Arlathan, which was after Tevinter had risen to power. Unless I'm wrong, and there's more to the story there... I wanna say it could be ancient dwarven (another primeval thaig-like mystery?), which makes sense, though there's so much mystery in the lore.

Aaagh, just wanna explore it. :)

It would actually be pretty hilarious if the GW had pulled a Corypheus with some Old God centuries ago. I guess in that case my Warden would attack that GW fortress singlehandedly then.

To be fair, just because it isn't underground now, doesn't mean it wasn't underground when it was build.Given enough time, erosion or other geological effects might have exposed it. The water you see might have washed away the surrounding rock.

Very interesting.

One of the possible subtitles for Inquisition (before they chose "Inquisition") was Apocrypha, which refers to heretical, secret or non-canonical religious texts - I guess, like the dissonant verses that were struck from the Chant but may actually paint a true picture.

I've really liked the implication that the Chantry's published Chant is selective and potentially an incomplete picture of what actually happened in history, so it'll be really cool to go deeper into some of those issues.

The Chantry is essentially the Catholic church. Rewriting "history" and deciding what believers get to hear is right in line with that. Maybe we'll get to uncover some secrets about key figures of the religion? Maybe about Andraste herself?

It reminds me very much of the entry to Moria.  What with the water and the glowing "door" in the cliff.

I think that we've been to one of those places before. In DA:A and Witch Hunt. The place where we fought The Mother in Awakening and location of the Eluvian. I believe that it was said ot be a resting place of an old god found by the Architect.
