Regarding Mike's comment of a 'five game plan' in the GameInformer vid:

I have no idea what I was talking about there, frankly. There's no plan for a specific, limited number of DA games.

I actually thought they were planning five games ahead; not that there would be a five game limit.

I remember that comment from one of the videos and it sounded like he was saying at the end of Origins they mapped out a story arc that would take ~five games - not that those games would be the entirety of the Dragon Age series.

Though things do change, I remember Gaider saying that the story in DAI was moving in roughly the direction they'd planned, even if things happened in a different order or a different way than they'd first anticipated.

It is easy to forget how deep our IPs are until you switch projects and realize there are entire countries/planets you've never heard of.

Aha! I knew it! There are multiple (significant) planets in DA!

Don't crush my dreams and tell me he was talking about Mass Effect. :(

That, and there's pleanty of room to explore. THe Qunari came from the north, so that's probably the most likely place we'll venture in say 2-3 games? South of the wilds wouldn't be easy, but could be VERY interesting. There looks like there's more to the west, and east... well... idk about that, too much ocean.

It would be amazing if we eventually got to explore totally uncharted areas.

First let's travel through all of Thedas. Then, let's visit the rest of the world.

They could make an entire game about the discovering of some uncharted areas. It could give quite a renewal to the serie by adding civilizations and a new recipe (something else than "gather armies to kill an ancient evil thing").

We could play as a sarcastic male who explores all this territory with a mustachioed fellow. It could be called "Uncharted".

I just took it as a general idea of the plot over a big span of time, not a literal breakdown of games. Gosh, if they go beyond the Dragon Age (100 year span), what do they start calling the games? I vote for the Nug Age.

A grim reaper! Be nice to see an ancient god that isn't actually a big honking dragon.

Because a big honking squid is so much better. :D

Nooo, scythes and tattered black robes and stuff. It's only a squid underneath the robes, you won't even be able to tell really. :P

Thedas was always intended to be part of the outcome of the original 'Destroy' ending of ME3. Human colonists and native aliens were left without technology and over time became more and more primitive. And as that was happening, the planet's huge quantities of element zero were changing after being hit with the destruction wave caused by the Catalyst. It eventually morphed into lyrium and the lyrium caused changes to the planet's atmosphere, leading to an "invisible" realm that the natives eventually referred to as "the fade." When sentient beings and dragons die on Thedas, because they've been so altered by the lyrium their lifeforce leaves their physical bodies and becomes part of the fade. Without functioning brains and civilizations to ground them in reality, these beings of lifeforce eventually become "spirits" and "demons" that hold on to a single aspect their previous personalities.
Nothing on thedas is magic, it's just the result of Commander Shepard deciding to destroy the Reapers. Until BioWare changed the destroy ending from a "reset" on technology to a short delay in technology working that is...

I'm beginning to think Thedas doesn't use mass effect fields AT ALL.

Nonsense!   Where do you think Force Mage powers come from?  It'll all be clear in the Dragon Effect crossover game.
