Have you found a high res version of the Inquisitor walking with an Elf and a Qunari into a fortress?

There is in my game.....but yeah. I get what you mean. I also heard it was a big complaint in the latest Gears of War game though I don't really know what's going on with that series anymore.Sen4lifE wrote...

Why Coronation?Wiedzmin182009 wrote...
DA:I - Coronation
Now that more concept art is being released I'm allowed to post a few things. Many of these images are used to explore major themes, capture the spirit of in-game moments or remain purely speculative. In this one, the player (holding the flag) is being made Inquisitor.
Maybe the moment you become inquisitor. coronation=become inquisitorladyofpayne wrote...

Not officially, just meeting with fans at their booth.

Sorry, but that's just Kelly Chambers.Ericander77 wrote...
This looks an aweful lot like Leliana. If it isn't her, then that's just mean

I think coronation was just a name for that scene that someone used offhandedly, it seems strange to refer to someone becoming Inquisitor as a "coronation".
Wonder where that is, by the way - Val Royeux?
Perhaps inauguration is better? Instatement? Investiture?

I mean we must do something or have something very special going on , or all this leader of the Inquisition thing makes no sense.

Yeah, that's the one piece of plot information I'm really interested in hearing about, since it's basically the foundation of why the Inquisition is important in the first place.
I mean, it makes sense that the organisation starts out pretty weak and we spend much of the game building power/influence with factions to advance our capability and resources, but the initial *establishment* of the Inquisition needs to have a good explanation also. It's reasonable that by the endgame we're infamous (or famous) throughout Thedas because of the results of major plot quests, but the rationale for founding the Inquisition, how it initially operates and why the Inquisitor was chosen are very, very critical questions.
Reading between the lines of the survey it appeared that the Veil breach devastates a mage-Templar peace conference in Orlais, leaving nobody with enough influence to marshal Thedas' nations and respond to the threat. That could explain why Leliana and Cassandra are important in founding the Inquisition (they happen to be at the conference?), but it doesn't really explain how the protagonist, of all people, ends up with the Inquisitor's cloak.Reznore57 wrote...

I think something like this is the most likely event, the protagonist is at or near the initial attack (just out of chance?) and responds well enough, or does something so important, that Leliana/Cassandra notice something special about them.
Though it still seems bizarre that two characters with literally decades of experience working for the Divine would appoint a random person who they just met to a position of extraordinary responsibility, power and influence - *especially* since they seem to tacitly relinquish the power of the Chantry in the process, and allow the player to literally do whatever they want. I hope there's a good explanation
(That being said, *most* games have a real issue with the protagonist being unrealistically powerful and influential compared to their companions - look at KoTOR, where at the start of the game a Jedi and a soldier with decades of fighting deferred to the player - a random Republic ensign. Or even in DAO, when Alistair took orders from the Warden even though he was much more experienced and "senior".)

I kinda wonder what we did so speacial to beat Casandra to the position, I mean, did we beat her in a object stabbing competition?
