A sprint review playthrough a few months ago mentioned hundreds of spiders and wandering through dark caves.

I'm already quivering.

Spiders are overdone at this point. What they really need to be truly terrifying is giant cockroaches!

So where in Thedas is a desert anyway? It all seems fairly temperate.

Silent plains? Though that's more of a devastation left over from a blight IIRC. And there's a bit of Antiva called "the drylands"

The Western Approach is a desert in Orlais IIRC from Asunder.

The fortress in the background seems similar to the one in the GI coverage with the qunari. I'd that this is the Western Approach, and the fortress is the Adamant fortress.

The pre-alpha gameplay had a quest with a tag that read Adamant. Let say that we can be 99.9% certain that we are going to visit the Adamant Fortress that was present in Asunder.

You can bet the Wardens have reclaimed it. We know we're going to encounter the Wardens and that they seem to be up to something devious. Considering what and where Adamant is I would say it's a safe assumption that they're doing their devious deeds there.

I missed this. Where do you get that the Wardens are up to something devious?

GameInformer coverage. The devs hint at the Wardens being up to no good. The common interpretation of that here is that Corypheus is somehow manipulating them.

I see, makes sense. Corypheus is a real pain in the backside.

I think that image is the backdrop for the Gameinformer hub.

Well, I have been reading Asunder, and the Western Approach (in which Adamant Fortress lies) is explicitly described as a cold desert. Maybe it's seasonal, though, I dunno.

@azarhal, that's exactly my point; Gaider only said she was female after it was pointed out, and so now they are conscious of it and more likely to release these pics of the female one.

??? except that it's pretty clear that's a woman, her facial features and body language both read it. I didn't need Gaider to point that out to notice it lol

As long as it doesn't cry out "Snow snow snow!" When the bloody Inquisition is looking for a leader, that bird can stay with me.
