The main reason I discount Cullen at this point is the fact that we already have two warriors that we know for sure are followers (Warden and Cass), and I think the next most-likely warrior is the Iron Bull. That, and the fact that I've taken a shine to Mr. Moustache; I want him to be in my party, hahaha.

At this point, depending on what class Mr. Moustache turns out to be, I think female dwarf rogue or warrior will be what we have leftover. I'm thinking Warrior, so our W:R:M ratio would be 4:3:2. There would be at least one human follower of every class, two dwarves and two elves, and a Tal'Vashoth to round it all out. Gender breakdown would be 5 Males to 4 Females, which is as good as it'll get with only 9 companions. Unfortunately we have zero evidence for a female dwarf warrior right now, no matter how pretty it would make the numbers. /sads

I have doubts about Iron Bull being a companion. He's the leader (according to unreliable survey) of a group of mercs. He has his own followers. Why is traipsing around with you? It seems more likely that he is an agent or a hired hand to me.

Well, he's been unofficially confirmed by the fact that he's been seen in the party in gameplay footage from the Gameinformer videos.  Here's a pretty clear screenshot:

I actually kind of agree with you, but feel it could go either way at this point.  Honestly, if he stays true to the survey description I'd want him to be voiced by Wrex's voice actor.  I am totally ok with having a Wrex-like companion in my party, and Iron Bull seems to fit the bill.  Plus, he'd add to party diversity.

Ah, I only saw 'Sera' in those videos. I still think Cullen is a companion. Like I've said before, it's the only way to prevent the destruction of Western society by the hands of the Cullen fans, who will no doubt open the Veil themselves if he isn't. Plus, there's Greg Ellis' age old tweet about doing Cullen voice work. I think it would be mainly companions who would do it that early. Remember that DA2 banter that slipped into the game where Aveline said Isabela wasn't THAT attractive? It must have been sometme between the recording and the design finalisations.

I think you're right, although I'm torn between whether or not moustache guy or Cullen are the companion, or if either of them are for that matter. I think that we're looking at one human male and one Dwarf female filling the last two spots as a rogue and warrior, but I'm not sure who those characters will be or who will be what class. 

Two human male warriors seems to be stretching it so I'd guess we'll have a female dwarf warrior and an as of yet unseen human male rogue.

yeah I don't expect Iron Bull but it would be cool if we did get him. Though I do like the sound of the female Tal-Vashoth warrior. Someone who goes completely against the Qun design.

The thing that makes me doubt we'll (ever) get one is because they always say how companions are about humanising certain Thedosian issues, probably to make players rethink their own beliefs. Most players seem to be fiercely anti-Qun , so I think what we need more than a totally anti-Qun character is a pro-Qun character who seems to go against the stereotype fans have developed. Like Tallis, but less of a Mary-Sue.

I think just using speculated would be fine. There is nothing wrong with speculation. But adding "confirmed" or "official" to it could fool people not aware that it is speculation into that it is comfirmed by someone official.
