As for the last tweet I think both, I think we are going to have a newborn kitten blow up a chantry.

Nah, it won't be a newborn kitten. It will be Ser Pounce-a-lot getting revenge for Anders' death.

The Inquisition is a sufficiently critical part of the plot that we named the entire game after it. You can probably assume that your relationship to it will factor significantly into the story. The start of the game will help you to establish how and why you are involved in the plot, yes.

IS THAT WHY THEY NAMED IT INQUISITON?

Lol, I figured they'd give you a reason to be an Inquisitor besides "I love the Chantry <3" or "Because, deal with it "

I'm not sure how you concluded that the options are "I love the Chantry" or "Deal with it" based on what Mary said.  Or even what role the Inquisition will be playing...

Uh... she basically said "the game is named Inquisition because there's something called Inquisition in it and it's pretty important". I'm not sure if I get your post

Just to put this out there: the original Inquisition was not part of the Chantry. This new version may not be either.

And also 'Deal with it' was how you became a Warden. Choice had nothing to do with it. Image IPB

No, I was saying I figured that those wouldn't be your only options. I'm sure you'll have a "reason," "purpose," "something" besides :

Opening credits then "hey, you're the Inquisitor, go inquire!"

Yes, you could tell Duncan to pound sand, but you still end up drinking darkspawn blood.

It's pretty silly to get all worked up about stuff when we have next to no information.

Ah.  When I see "figured" I see past tense, meaning I read it as a perspective you once had, but now no longer hold.  In other words, it looked like your post was saying that you once held the opinion that the topic would have more variety, but you now no longer feel that way.

The teasing is almost too much:

Jonathan Perry ‏
Spent today cutting together a couple of internal marketing videos for #DA3. I still can't believe how good this game is already!

All teasin, no pleasin'.....:(
Any chance we'll see videos within the year 2012? (at least before Dec 21st, they could do a whole "world's gonna end" marketing bit)

Not sure about videos, but screenshots maybe? We had a couple of screenshots of DA II on alpha/beta/whatever stage before any video.

Possibly at the Spike VGAs in early December, but it"s hard to tell. The devs did say we should expect to wait a while for info.

Them saying "don't expect anything any time this year" bit has already proved to be false since we got concept art and a bunch of details since then. I'm willing to bet we'll get a trailer this year.

For what we seem to be getting, the book seem vastly overpriced, even at just above $25. I certainly won't be buying it until the price drops.

It's quite a large hardcover book at 12"x9". 184 pages doesn't sound like much, but 184 12"x9" pages is potentially A LOT of info/content.

That Amazon price doesn't include shipping, which varies by country, I think (for me in Australia it's an extra $9+).

Best price for me seems to be the Book Depository, at $33.

Also remember that a lot of it is lore and world information, not just art. I agree that it's pretty expensive but I think I'll pick it up.

Good point. It's an item listed for Amazon's "free super saver shipping," which gives free shipping to orders whose totals are at least $25 "of qualifying merchandise" (which The World of Thedas does). But this only applies to US orders. Anyone living outside the US would probably be better off with the Book Depository.
