Won't be good for Cullen having a different Templar in the party though.

Evangeline is not a Templar anymore

I suppose technically, but I still don't see them putting two warriors with Templar backgrounds in the same group.
It would be very interesting having the charcter who strongly believes in mage freedom not actually be a mage.

i guess she'd be a spirit warrior now, if so she gets my vote.

Isn't he dead or something ?
Had enough of that with Justice/Vengeance.

Seekers come from templar ranks, so Cassandra is sorta a templar. I've wondered if that will be reflected in her skills.
That is interesting. I never thiught about what Cassandra could be specialisation wise. The Pentaghasts are royal dragon hunters, no? Could she possibly be a reaver? Probably not good sense for a tank, mind. Unless companions have their own specialisations again, which I wouldn't be opposed to.

Mmm. Evangeline is alive due to Wynne transferring the spirit of faith to her. Wouldn't this be dependant from the choice of having Wynne alive in DAO?
Maybe if Wynne is dead Evangeline never died in the first place. But those would lead to some pretty insane differences in her story depending on previous choice. Hmm...

I haven't read Asunder, but didn't Wynne single handedly prevent the M/T War from breaking out twice before Fiona finally got her way?

I haven't read it either, so don't ask me

So she will be alive during those events no matter what you do.

That's an import bug with Awakening. From a story POV, if you killed her, she's dead. The Dragon Age Keep is meant to fix bugs of this nature, from what I understand.

Unless we'll not have the choice to make Wynne die with the Keep, but at the moment I find it unlikely.

I'm sure that was a bug. Hopefully the Keep will address this issue.

That's not good. There are people here who have surprisingly strong convictions about shoes, and we're going to hear from them.
Okay, making my way through the thread here (and all the Qunari discussion lol), it seems like we'll have shoe choices after all, so yay. Especially for city/circle elves who aren't really the traditional type, shoes make more sense.
I always thought it made no sense for Fenris to have no shoes. He had no memory and served as a bodyguard in Tevinter then he was on the run. For a man of the run wearing shoes is just practical
If wearing no shoes is a Dalish tradition that's fine, but for city elves to have no shoes it just doesn't make any sense.

David has indicated that the books' plots are a sort of what-if scenario, and the events might've happened in a different way in each player's universe - or not at all. But I think he also suggested that the big events more or less end up in the same place?
That said, you make a really good point that Evangeline's survival is dependent on Wynne being alive. Perhaps, if Wynne never turned up in Asunder, not much would've happened in the same way.
It does make a good argument that Evangeline won't be in DA;I, though. It'd be really complex to try and account for what Asunder would've been like if Wynne never existed in it.

Not all seekers come from templar ranks, just most of them. There are special cases that are recruited outside the Chantry (mentioned in DotS featurette) and I suspect Cassandra is such a special cases.
Dev mentioned that Cassandra had a warhorn taunt (for dragons?) as well.

Cole would certainly be interesting. And I don't see him as another Justice. He's a lost and lonely soul isn't he? Maybe the veil tears make it easier for him to be visible to others, can you imagine the conversations between him and Cullen?
We'll see soon enough.

Yeah, Fenris was a city elf, and one who cared little for elven culture of any stripe. The poor guy running over a filthy city and rugged countryside in his bare feet. I'm still iffy about the Dalish going barefoot for the same reasons, and because they seemed perfectly fine with shoes in DA:O. But it's more unusual for city elves.
...Now watch as I end up dressing my elf Inquisitor in the shoeless Elven Armor.

Ah, okay, didn't know that.
Sounds like Cass is someone to bring on dragon hunts.

Though maybe it's just an item/skill tree thing, given that it looks like any character with a shield can bash enemy armour and break through doors.
