But there's the "Red FIst" and there's fist statue in some Inquisition keep...

Yeah, don't like it one bit. Also, every faction named after colours? Red, gold, purple... Of course it is bare bones but I hope what I read it's not true, and if it is that it belongs to before they changed the scope of the game (even though I don't see why they would significantly touch the story and the factions).

I want to mention that I find strange that the leak was from February and nobody knew it until yesterday, and that there's no direct link of the 'leak', but only a screenshot of it posted in another forum. It could still be fake. (There are a lot of things that doesn't match up what little we know about the game's plot).
Still, I hope that if true the plot changed a bit, and that  SPOILER








the name of those groups are placeholders.

I'm sorry. I didn't post what it was stated and the link for not spoiling things to those who didn't want to know, but it seems for some people is difficult to not spoil things.

To be fair, I wasn't refering to this thread, I was just venting my frustration at those people who thought it would be funny to leak the entire plot of the game... Sorry if this came off as overly harsh or anything.

No, I agree with you, I've read just a few lines and stopped at the coloured factions, so I tried not to say anything of importance in here because I hate when people put spoilers (massive or not) in a thread where they don't belong.

The posts are full of spelling mistakes, but - assuming it's accurate - who would leak the story way back in February? Someone at Bioware? A tester or someone brought in for market research?

It's a pretty crappy thing to do.

Yeah, leaking story details is a douchey thing to do. Even if they might be inaccurate. It causes paranoia + spoils the general mood.

If it turns out to be true, it would a shame. Red Templars would seem even more like Cerberus wannabes without any real development and characterisation, and the story sounds generally way too simplistic. And the colours thing? It sounds like mostly placeholders, except the Red Templars, who have good reason to be called that.

It seems to me that even if this were not a hoax, and I think it is, the plot has likely evolved considerably since then. I don't think they likely had it all nailed down until a few months later atleast.. It was February.

It's a suspicious leak. I can't find the posts on 4chan, but it might have been pruned. There is only one person on 4chan who is currently saying that some dude leaked these thing (with August 31st dated post). Nobody remember them there. Yet somebody saved 6 months old screenshots of 4chan posts to post them on the Witcher forum a few days ago and not here?

Also, searching for the strangely named agent factions on the web returns nothing "old", which means that if this leak happened nobody talked about it when it was released.

Dates can easily be photoshopped.

I'm suspecting someone was being a smart ass, made up some facts supposedly inferred from the demo, and then posted crap online

The biggest problem for now is too much toleracy- Inquisitor can be elf or Quinary. It just can't be true - being elf in Thedas is like being jewish in Medieval England. People just won't respect that Inquisitor.

And common girl and mage Morrigan is respected person in Imperial Court. I can't true too- Common people hate mages. Celina's nobles reject her.
