I hope it looks at least decent on the PS3 because I'm not sure I can afford the PS4 before DAI comes out. I'll get it eventually, I'm sure, but still.

You have over a year. If you sock away $8 a week until then you should be able to buy a PS4 and a DAI Collector's Edition.

LOL!  You math types are always causing trouble for us impractical, seat-of-the-pants types.  Image IPB

Me:
"It's only $5.  I'm not going to max out my credit card with $5."
Real world:
$5  x  {infinity}  =  I don't want to think about that right now....

One always has to be careful of nickel and diming yourself.  When buying my car the salesman was often "It's like $10 a month" and I was just "yeah but if I do that with 10 different things now it's $100/month!"

Why wouldn't DAI be available on Windows 7? BF4's minimum requirements shows that you can play it on Vista.

I'm not even hiting the minimum requirements. If DAI turns out to need some of the same level, I'll have to buy a complete new machine.

My reaction too. Although, the recommended looks more like "recommended if you want to play on Ultra", because the minimun are really low in comparison.

Introducing the new face of Bioware: Matthew Bromberg, formerly the CEO of Major League Gaming, who joined EA in 2012 as general manager of BioWare Austin following Zeschuk's departure, is now head of the Bioware division.

Image IPB

My knee-jerk reaction: Gosh, I really hope this doesn't affect Bioware. I can easily see why EA would pick him. He's quite the by-the-numbers businessman that you would see rely more on graphs and statistics for maximum profit over artistic integrity.

... Now that was my initial reaction but who knows? He may surprise us.

Aaryn is the head of Bioware's Canadian studios, so Edmonton and Montreal.

Matthew Bromberg will be in the role that Greg and Ray were in last year, overseeing all of Bioware's studios (including the one in Austin) and the other studios that happen to fall under the Bioware label in EA - I think Victory is one of those.

So basically, he's Aaryn's boss.

I was hoping the new head of Bioware would be from Bioware:unsure:

We don't really know what it takes to be the head of an entire label within EA.

Perhaps nobody at Bioware is sufficiently qualified or experienced to be promoted. It hardly makes sense to elevate someone to a job they can't do, just for the sake of choosing someone from within the company.

Edit: and I don't mean that everyone at Bioware is totally incompetent, but rather that "head of a label at EA" might be a position that *requires* experience that can only be gained outside the company. Or, maybe the eventual plan is for people who are currently studio General Managers to one day be promoted higher, but they aren't there yet.

I get the feeling that Ray and Greg's leaving did mean that other people had to take over management positions at the studio fairly quickly.

Do you have a link?  I'd be interested to know if he gives an in-game context, like Ogres being one of the darkspawn.

He just said we'd meet trolls in DAI. It's in the thread called Trolls in the Dragon Age universe?

Here's the quote:

David Gaider wrote...

Maiden Crowe wrote...
Do they exist?

Yes...
but seeing as "troll" isn't really the same type of creature from one
setting to the next, they might not be what you think they are. Either
way, you'll see Dragon Age's version in Inquisition.

There will be some DA version, and here's to hope they'll include a BSN reference somewhere...
