@KiddDaBeauty Consoles should support both auto-attack and manual press. Also, Tactical view is always auto-attack

That is good news. I like that there will be support for different play styles.
I prefer playing with auto-attack and was wondering about this feature and this answers that. Thanks!

I think this should be a mandatory read for anyone before the criticise the gaming industry's writers. I almost feel sorry for them if they didn't have a freaking awesome that involves my biggest passion xD
Yes.Writing for videos games seems like some kind of torture.
I really wished they had more freedom , because when D. Gaider write Party Banter are one of the funniest things to do...Well I believe him.
In DA2 , all the little gems about characters were in the banters.

I actually asked since I like to play DA2 with auto-attack off and was worried I'd have to auto-attack in Inquisitionhhh89 wrote...
I highly doubted they'd repeat what happened with DA2 on console, but it's good to have a confirmation.

As long as button mashing itself doesn't lead to better outcomes (higher damage, bigger criticals, what-have-you), then this is good news, as it would not be incentivizing all players to use the button mash, despite having the option.

Oooh! I actually preferred manual attack in DA2, but I didn't think it would be back. Yay for choices.

I think that every game has content cuts during development. Regardless of the fact that Bioware might push the release to 2015, there are going to be content cuts.
Exactly, even if the game was in development for 10+ years there would have to be content cuts. Sometimes some things just don't make sense, or cannot be occomplished technically, or someone higher up doesn't like it, or you decided to go in a different direction. Game develop is a huge GROUP effort with many technical, time, and monetary restraints.
Poor devs though, it's never really easy.
Sometimes, too, you just need to ship a game. Give game developers an infinite budget and you'll get a game that never ships.

I imagine this is a dev's dream. "The game with infinite resources."
I can imagine Cailain going "glorious" at this

It awlays comes down to scope, schedule and budget.
Any good PM knows this and understands how the three interact.
Give someone a project with none of those, and the project will be never ending, expensive, and probably a formless mess.

Because I am crazy and can get BoltBus roundtrip from Seattle to Vancouver for about $50 I went ahead and filled out the form. Next step is to see if they choose me (unlikely because I am so far away!).
Lucky! I live in the West coast so I can't really take bus to Vancouver under $50.
Here's hoping you get chosen

I salute your devotion to Dragon Age!
I live in the area so naturally I signed up. However, I think I would have done the same thing as you if I lived in Seattle since I'm just dying play DAI. Hope you can participate...maybe we'll be in the same group if I can get in too

I feel like that sort of approach would be so comopletely off for Dragon Age unless they were changing huge stuff. As different as DA2 was from Origins, having to press X (in my case) only changed the input, not the mechanics of combat.

You're just saying that because you don't wanna see your lovely country getting too crowded.
Anyway, the people selected for those play test sessions aren't allowed to tell us anything, right?
