When you are fighting what should the horse do? Just stand there and wait for you? Or it just disappears like in World of warcraft?
If they can manage to handle it like Red Dead Redemption then I think they're sorted. That's an IF, though. I'm no expert xD

Given what we were hitting at the time, it was pretty much the most inappropriate noise that could have played. Hilarious, but inappropriate.
but..but...i like it. a horse w/a bit of personality? A bit of 'tude? just a bit. You know, like an old friend that's so close to you, generous amounts of smack talking could occur with no hurt feelings? But when you get down to where the Bronto shyte's--they've got your back! Oh, with a wee bit of facial expressions? *tiny squee*.
I mean, as long as it's not like..random horse #300978 that comes up out the ground when you need them. And as long as you don't hurt my horse (looking at you David).
I would like that. There's possibilities there.
Alistair McNally: "Get ready"? I cannot be moar ready. Oh, and how 'bout them poisons, indeed. I do love a nice poison tipped dagger, or two.
And David, I know you love us. I know you'll never admit it, but you still slip us a bit of chocolate covered candy---before you run out the door.
Oh, and Weekes speaking to the happy places in ppl's soul? Yessss, my body is Ready!

Those were some valiant horses in Red Dead. When they weren't running like hell, anyway.
I remember John's American Standardbred leaping in front of a gattling gun for him once.
