Speaking of VGX, when is it on?

About 7 hours from now, I believe.

Ericander77, do you have a link? For schedule.

Will DAI have a collectors edition? Sorry if your tired of DAI questions but I was curious?

Plans are still firming up. We'll announce if/when we're sure.

Łukasz Krawczyk ‏@IlidanDA

@Mike_Laidlaw Inquisitor can use siege weapons? (Like in Dragon Age: Origins).

Mike Laidlaw ‏@Mike_Laidlaw

@IlidanDA That's situational, so maybe, if the story/setting/environment allowed it.

Thks the Maker Bioware was not in VGX.

What a BAD show...

Now, what events do we have before E3 that we can hope to see some DA:I?

I can only remember CES in january (my bets are not here) and PAX East in april...

Yeah I didn't enjoy VGX much either, I hope we'll get something before E3 too. I'm going to guess things will start happening in the spring around when Masked Empire is released.

Maybe some Biostaff will be on panels at GDC or GaymerX?

IIRC, Jessica Merizan said that they would definitely be back at GaymerX.

I wish they would tell us when they are going to be on TV or not, that way we do not get our hopes dashed

VGX, that was a bit lame.

The devs never tweeted anything about being at VGX, or hinted anything. I wasn't too hopeful

My money is on PAX East, personally. The DA team has a good relationship and history of reveals at the PAX cons, so if I was going to put any stocj anywhere, it would be PAX East. In fact, when DA:I wasn't revealed there last year, that's when I began to be pretty convinced that the game wouldn't be coming out in 2013 at all. PAX East is the perfect blend of lots of media attention coupled with enough freedom to bave really in-depth presentations and discussion. Other cons aren't on the larger media's radar for the most part and E3 is TOO packed, where no one can do anything other than show a thirty second trailer (pretty much what we wound up getting for DA:I's E3 reveal).

So while there might be small breadcrumbs about the game between now and then, I'd say to not expect the next big data dump until April.

In fact, if Bioware was smart, they'd unleash an onslaught of product information at PAX East - lots of information of DA:I's systems, setting, gameplay, etc., a full reveal of ME Next for the viewing public AND a reveal of the mystery IP that's been in development since the Stone Age.

That would let them dominate the PAX East news feed and give them a ton of hype going into summer and E3, pretty much guaranteeing that DA:I will be on a lot of group's radar when it comes out Fall next year, with plenty of cross-promotional opportunities for the games.

I know it is not the case but imagine if ME4 and DAI came out on the same day.

A new Mass Effect AND a brand new IP being revealed at the same con would completely overshadow Inquisition. New and shiny is more interesting the general public and the gaming media. They would be shooting themselves in the foot.

Not really. I'm not talking full reveals, but a teaser trailer at the events, at best. Further in-depth discussion of DA:I and a thirty second trailer of ME Next and Unknown IP at the end of the presentations would be all I'm talking about. Same thing for E3 - lot's more hype and info for DA:I (after all, E3 has always been a terrible venue for talking anything in depth) and more small droplets on the other franchises. Then, keep quiet on both fronts until DA:I's release and then start giving more substantial details afterwards. Heck, maybe even include a longer trailer on the disc with DA:I to give more cross-pollination on the products.

That's not what you said though. You called for an "onslaught" of information with a "full reveal" of ME4 and the reveal of the New IP. And even if they just do teaser trailers and minor reveals for those titles that's still direct competition for coverage of Inquisition. Like I said, the gaming media is interested in shiny and new. They will always go for what's newest.

I could have been clearer with my original post, my apologies. And I'd say that won't be how Bioware operates going forward. DA and ME may have been careful to not step oj each other's toes with releases (and marketing campaigns) spaced far apart, but if they add a third IP franchise to the mix, they won't have that luxury of calendar space. I'm willing to bet you'll see more shared spotlight than an exclusive one. After all, the PAX Prime demo of DA:I was also coupled with a "Look Back at the ME trilogy."

Slightly different, but I still suspect it is a sneak peak of things to come.
