I don't mind if Leliana shows up again, but I really hope NOT as a companion. She's been a companion already, I'd like other characters.
I think Valadras may be right in that she will have a large role to play, but I really doubt that Leliana will be a companion again. I think that ship has sailed.

This is the most likely outcome, I'd tend to think. Particularly given the tidbits we know of DA3's worldstate.

I think Leliana is actually going to be the leader of the Inquisition. The Divine of the Chantry would likely form the Inquisition to solve the mage/templar conflict, and since Leliana has been the Divine's right hand for a number of years, it's logical to think that she would be appointed as the Inquisition's leader.
That's my theory anyway.
I'm laughing at the thought of Leliana somehow giving the player orders through the Eluvian, always ending with a salute and "Leliana, terminé." Dragon Age's Admiral Hackett.
Alas, that's probably not what the writers have in mind for her if she's involved.

Probably not. But it was still funny. So thanks!

Well, according to his wiki, he wrote Zevran, Cailan, Alistair, Morrigan and Shale. So which one would he be referring to?

Or, maybe it's not a specific char.? Maybe it's "like" a previous char., and/or situation?
I...Idk!

Or the character reminds him of something/someone from his past back on the farm. Actually I don't know if Mr. Gaider comes from a farm. I doubt it actually. BUT that tweet totally conjured images of someone sitting on a porch chewing on one of those yellow stalky things and staring out over green fields at a river glitter blue under a hot summer sun. xp
Also off topic but I totally thought Zevran was very two dimensional until my recent playthrough when I ACTUALLY remembered to TALK to him after the whole Taliesin thing (since I leave the Landsmeet till WAAAAY last I usually just forget about it) and it changed his whole character for me. It's really a defining moment. So yeah if I didn't have that chat with Zev and someone told me Mr. Gaider wrote him I would have been "lolwhut."

YES X 1,000!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only thing that could possibly make that better would be if Deekin somehow brings Boo along with him. And now I have an image in my head of Deekin, Sandal, and Boo dressed in Three Musketeers outfits, setting out to save the worlds! All of them! No single universe can contain their combined awesomeness!
(I believe that your delusions now qualify as perfectly sane...)

Hopefully Morrigan...
I mean, lining it up with what happened so far, it makes sense. She steps through an Eluvian MIrror. It could potentially lead to the Black City(formerly Golden), something happens, veil is ripped just like the leaked survey said, Flemeth is scrambling like she said she was going to do in DA2. Yea. Just makes too much sense not to have Leliana, Flemeth, and Morrigan all play major roles in DA3...
Is the Maker going to come back to humanity? Can he just abandoned a world in complete chaos? Is that why Leliana ignored her death in DAO? Did the Maker "choose" her?
But yea, hopefully Morrigan plays a major role in DA3. Leliana and Morrigan. That would make me a very happy person. Flemeth does hint in DA2 that Morrigan is about to do something huge and that she needs to hurry. She also said Morrigan thinks she knows better than anyone else. Maybe Morrigan lied to us about Flemeth in DAO. She did push us away in the romance. Was she hiding something and trying to protect the Warden? Or did she just get the wrong impression about what Flemeth really wanted?
Why does Morrigan look like Flemeth if she's not her blood child? Alistair even mentions it in banter and they both have pure yellow eyes. Is that a lie from Morrigan? She said that Flemeth stole children(or hinted I forgot which). So if Morrigan isn't biological, why does she look like her? Argh, Flemeth/Morrigan kill me! Too many questions, not enough answers. Make it happen David!

He also wrote Cole. (hint, hint)
Personally I think the best way of doing things would be to emphasise "create your own hero!" and then show off three different classes. The warrior could then be, say, the default male protagonist, rogue being default female and then a fully customised character for the mage.FenrirBlackDragon wrote...
I am very excited about getting to see the female version of the protagonist in marketing, though I hope there will be more than one trailer this time, perhaps even one where the male and female protagonist are side by side doing something awesome?
Cinematic trailers could have male and female versions. Hopefully released on the same day (I didn't even know there was a FemShep cinamatic trailer until it had been out for days, cause nobody raised a fuss about it since it came out after we had seen the Sheploo one already).

Warrior -> jumps into the fray
Rogue -> quickly takes enemies down, one by one, in between retreating to the shadows
Mage -> chain lightning
Enemies -> going for the mage
Warrior -> threatening posture and a strong shout turns the enemies around
Mage -> stops the enemy in their tracks with a grease spell or something
Enemy lieutenant -> starts barking orders
Rogue -> backstabs the lieutenant before he finishes talking, sealing the fate of the group at last
Thus we've concluded mages can control the battlefield and deal area damage, the warriors can take a lot of beating and transfer threat, while the rogue prefers dealing massive damage to single targets without getting noticed. All in a trailer that, while done with in-game graphics, can look pretty darn cinematic.
