[user] you will not have children in DAI. Not ruling it our forever
I think that last bit should be 'out', but it does confirm no kids for the player in DAI.

None of the shots have really impressed me, to be honest.
In terms of fidelity, everything seems to be looking good, but style? These latest screens all seem alarmingly bland (comically ridiculous hat notwithstanding), to the point where I couldn't even say some of them were from Dragon Age without the little identifying badge.
When have DA environs ever had an immediately identifiable and unique aesthetic? And what other fantasy games do?

If you zoom on Cassandra, you can see that Varric is behind her (you see his boots).

Is that a flaming sword.....or a flaming sword-staff combo for the Arcane Warriors a la Heroes of Dragon Age?

It is a sword, says so at DragonAge.com if you click on the image it says "Flaming sword." at the bottom left.
Funky looking sword compared to the genric styles they've done before. ahhh....I see, same sword as they've always shown him with.....the 2 handed.....the blade just looks shorter to me and the handle longer
Looks cool. And counter weighted.
Seige weapons too?

There were trebrochets (I've no idea how to spell it!) in the 30 min demo shown, we might be able to use them.
Would be very cool to be able to load and fire them like in DAO last battle.

I guess that could mean the Inquisitor comes across more than one siege in their adventures...

@DavidGaider: I can't promise that I will out-twerk you, but I may."
This is by and far the best tweet I may have ever read. I think I nearly died from laughing and now this is all I want for Christmas!

It's probably a new location but that screenshot of the forest with a pointing statues reminds me quite vividly of the Brecilian Forest. Wonder if we visit some more classic locations in addition to the new Fereldan areas?
The building we see Hat-quisitor and it's architecture do scream "Ferelden!" to me but it seems a bit big for the Lothering chantry. If it's even still there.
I think it would be rather neat to briefly visit some of the places after the destruction of the Blight, see how they've rebuilt. Although, after the destruction of this Veil Tear, they're going to need to do a lot more rebuilding. Would be most interesting, however!

Looks like the Inquisitor is really Hugh Jackman from Van Helsing. They better include Kate Beckinsale that's all I can say.

Why is the sword's hilt the same size as the blade....
Better balance=harder swings. Look at real greatswords and you'll see that the handles are pretty much always longer than they are in video games and movies.

PS. It's a bit like an Aussie army slouch hat. Has this guy escaped some special military unit or something, I wonder. (It gives me a military vibe, but I've probably just got the context wrong, because of the army slouch hat being displayed on a shelf in our lounge room.)
OK. Now I'm interested. Quizzing my husband about his ex-army hat and he has no idea why it is turned up at the side. (Gee, he makes the bed with good hospital corners, though.) Why is this Inquisitor's hat turned up, then? In one of the screenshots it looks like a stealthy thing?
