To what extent can we interact with companions and NPCs?

Would it be accurate to say that there will be more of a branching story where choices have a visible impact on the narrative?

Can we expect Flemeth to play a larger role this time around or have some the mysteries surrounding her unravelled?

Of course Gaider has said some characters from the survey were cut or changed so Briala could have been one of those.

I think Briala is Empress Celene elven lover...I think.

Right you are. She is also her spy master, handmaiden and confidante. Quite the important elven character. Makes me wonder if we'll see many elves in positions of influence (or even power) aside from the Inquisitor.

Not yet... They're going to be recording these "Dev Diary" videos over this week, so we'll have to wait and see if they even touch on this.
