This is an Sera early sketch like Bald Fenris.

I thought bald Fenris was a re-design that was drawn recently, not an old concept.

You're right. It was a re-design, but not for Inquisiton. In his caption, Matt Rhodes said he did it just for the fun of it.

It's definitely a hot button topic, especially if you're a Dev. I certainly don't blame them for not wanting to come here given how I've seem them treated.

While we're on the subject, Jessica Merizan commented a few times last year about big changes coming to the BSN to improve its atmosphere, but other than eliminating the ability to have private conversations with anyone who isn't on your friends list (and possibly the fading out of blogs, polls and albums) I didn't really see anything moving in that direction... anyone knows what that's about?

The "All-New BSN" is still in the works. Every once in a while they'll chime in on the OT thread or you hear a tweet about a mystery cool new feature they're working on but that's about it.

"Maybe I’d change my mind in the future, if the team ever explored another story with Shale, but I’d say that part of her identity is more something she wants to explore as opposed to something she currently feels." -David Gaider

So I'm guessing there is no current plans for shale in inquisition?

Almost to page 600!

That would be my conclusion as well... Although, I'd be quite interested in being the proverbial fly-on-the-wall during Shale's journey

@Hrungr Good question that got a common sense reply, which makes it worth reading all the more.
Those dev tweets are increasingly about doing overtime to work on DA:I. I'm kinda awed by this.

Yes indeedy, I'm also impressed with the overtime and the weekends the devs are putting into this, even with the game still so far out.

Speaking of which...

Chris Pickford ‏@TheBoyChris:
Get to play with the latest integration from @EA_DICE and @FrostbiteEngine today! Judging by the release notes, got lots of new toys :-D

I saw someone else saying something about a new version of frostbite engine too and that it was nice
I wonder what were the changes/additions and how that affects the game

And yet there will inevitably be people whining about "lazy devs" when the game releases and some feature that player personally desired isn't in the game (or not done the way he/she thought it should have been).  <_<

I cannot image having a job where I would willingly put in OT like I see the devs doing.  It's crazy, and I <3 them all.

We can't forget about how game development works though. They're making the game for PC and FOUR consoles, 2 of which are entirely brand new to the company. They have to make the game, then port the game. They won't be working on major systems and such the whole time. They're probably close to moving into the polish and porting phases now since they have to make "dumbed down" versions for PS3/360.

This attitude can be just as misguided though. Tons of hardwork and dedication went into Dragon Age ][ and Mass Effect 3 but those are deeply flawed games that didn't live up to most people's expectations. Hell, tons of hard work and dedication goes into just about every video game.

I agree that there'll be a lot of work to get it onto all 4 platforms, but I don't think we're getting to the polish and porting stages for a while yet. They've only got the main questline playable for Christmas and as you can see, they're still incorporating new Frostbite features. Needless to say, the OT the devs are putting in is still impressive...

Karin Weekes' response to that image:

Karin Weekes ‏@KarinWeekes
[people] So, someone asked me for a jazz club in DAI recently. I take this as a YES.

(Btw, there's a full version of that image here in case anyone wanted it: http://dgaider.tumbl...rock-band-au-on)

I think the initial DA2 rock band idea came from this post

So sense we may have a strong chance of going to arlathan's ruins,

I figured that this would be the spot. Looks like we will be in/really close to Antiva for part of the game!

I really hope we do get to go to Arlathan and they're not pulling a bait-'n-switch with that concept art. We know the concept art is an actual location based on what Matt Rhodes has said. But... is it really Arlathan and not another elven ruin? Arlathan is far beyond the scope of what they've been talking about lately (Eastern Ferelden to Western Orlais) I'm hesitant to get too excited - just yet.

They could always do far reaching quests in DLC.

You've certainly piqued my interest. Is this reveal endorsed by BioWare?
