I wonder if they'll still be allowed to watch/play previews/demos of future Bioware games before everyone else?

You gotta think founding a company nets you some perks, right?

THey have to have a "nobody suspects the ____ inquisition joke"

As far as I can tell this is the only reason to name your game Inquistion.  I will be seriously disappointed if it isn't included.  So maybe they've lost surprise, but they've still got fear and ruthless efficiency.

Crazy, but very nice of you to organize. Will drop by to see what's happening with development, but kind of want to keep it a secret for myself, you know?

Oh boy! look at this shiny new forum. :wizard:

I like the name they decided on. :)

I don't want to play as some Inquisition member. I hope it won't mean that we will.

There really isn't enough information to know what the story will entail, but I'm sure we will be able to choose different paths with our PC. After all, it wouldn't be an RPG is there were only one set-in-stone character without any choice or customization.
I really can't wait to hear more details. SO EXCITED! :o

You mean like in DA2 where the only choice was Mage Hawke, Warrior Hawke, or Rogue Hawke?

Oh dear guys, yes, Cullen was remarkably smokin' in DA2, and introduced an unrequited star-crossed lover thing in DA:O. But I think the real reason he would be great in DA3 is not just to romance him, but because he's a remarkably complex character who has seen both extremes of the mage-templar conflict, has had to learn to think for himself as far as what the Order means, and has also been called by DG "the voice of sanity" for trying to be a good person amongst all these extremes. An interesting character I think to throw into an Inquisition, whatever that may entail.

Agreed. Cullen in an interesting character.

I just hope the devs don't go the ME3 route and turn the templars/Chantry into the new Cerberus.

I think you guys are being way to optimistic, let's tone down the hype shall we? DA 2 sucked, ME3 was mediocre (in my opinion) so lets just be cautious and not be zealots.

I look at it this way. It cant be as bad as DA2, and the ending cant suck as much as ME3

Well, the game is in development for 18 months, DA2 came 15 months or so after DA:O. So, that means it's going to be alot better I assure you.

Am I the only one who's actually a little worried and discouraged they apparently have a 'demo' done so quickly?

I don't think it's the type of demo you would even consider showing to the public,so I'm not all that worried.

But if it's so good that it would "melt your eyes off" then why wouldn't you show it to the public?

If the developers are already playing it, testing it out, then show us a snippet! C'mon man! Hope they don't wait until next year to show something. VGA's is a good place to show off DA3.

It’s looking good and we’re proud of the team’s progress but we still have a ways to go before we show you anything. We’re doing this right and spending the time to make sure we deliver the game you all deserve.

For the sake of all that is holy don't deliver us the game we deserve!  We'll end up with a game that deletes our hard drives and mysteriously muders our pets!

Of course they have a demo! They are switching engines. It would be irresponsible to pick a new engine without seeing if you can recreate a part of the DA world on the new engine.

You want to worry, go right ahead. I'm not worried.

They didn't start working on it only from February this year - it was more like February last year, as well as the side team for Exalted March that was then merged into the main DA3 project.

The DA3 team was working on art assets way back in April, at least, and judging by the tweets it looked playable even then.

A demo doesn't imply that anything is finished, only that some part of the game is advanced enough to play through, even in a rough state.

Or on BioWare fans.

Scratch that.  I don't want us all ending up in padded cells.
