Although I am elated as hell, what you have bolded could also be construed in another direction. By "adventuring after the game's main story has finished", they could merely be alluding to DLC to continue our journey, not that we can necessarily keep playing in the vanilla game after the conclusion of the main story.wrigleyviller wrote...
I can't recall seeing this before, but if I'm just repeating old information I apologize. From an article on Polygon:
"With numerous endings, plus hundreds of additional permutations and the ability to continue adventuring after the game's main story has finished..."
That's really cool, and makes me feel much better about potentially missing locations in the giant game world. For example, now I won't feel bad if I leave an area because the difficulty is too high, forget to return, and complete the main storyline before making it back.

I have a question. Will the DA Keep let me create a personalized history? I'm crossing platforms so importing won't work 4 me.
Mark Darrah @BioMarkDarrah:
Indeed it will.
Oh Maker, I cannot wait to try out this Keep.
I apologize. I meant when the product is finished. I didn't sign up for the beta. Silly me.

That's awesome! Thanks for confirming.
This makes me really, really happy! In the past I use to worry I was missing something and would spend so much time and energy either trying every little thing or consulting online walkthroughs to make sure I got everything done before finishing the main quest (or moving on to the next act, etc.). Obviously some stuff will become inaccessible due to story conditions, but now I feel pretty confident that I can just play through the game at whatever speed I want and skip whatever I skip because I can return to that content later. That's awesome.

And now I'm worried about the ending
And what about the little things like helping Dagna or giving Bevin his sword back... if you're allowed to play on after the main story is over, the ending slides probably can't say "the child you helped has grown up into a respected mage many years later" because it wouldn't make sense.
I don't know how this is going to work....

And now I'm worried about the ending. The endings can't be too diverse if they have to also support playing after the main story... I mean the Inquisitor probably can't sacrifice himself or become emperor of Orlais or destroy the world...

Or they'll just end this "story" after DAI like they're doing with Mass Effect 3.
While not as connected as Mass Effect, it's still obvious each game has a connection with each other, in a rather serious way. Eventually they won't be able to keep allowing us to import our decisions, it'll become to difficult. After DAI seems like a good time to start a new "story" for Dragon Age. Get what I'm saying?

Good point. I wonder how are the epilogues going to work.
They did say they would not have them contradicting sequels again, so they might have scapped them altogether.

Does the Inquisitor can be imported into future game? Is this the start of something big? Such as Shepard and Mass Effect

No decisions on that yet. We'll keep you informed though!

I'd say it is actually quite likely. Bioware has been moving away from epilogue slides for a while now (much to my chagrin). They are the most cost-effective way to introduce consequence and variety to choices, so anything else will be either more expensive or (more likely) limited in scope.
