Will there be focus on improving (facial) animations for DA:I ? Angry, shouting or laughing characters looked off in DA:O & 2

Mike Laidlaw ‏@Mike_Laidlaw

We'll sure be working to make them look as good as possible.

It is very interesting that the DA team is still considering MP elements to the game.

I know that BioWare is still on the fence with the inclusion of MP into DA:I, but I really hope they do decide in favor of adding it to the game.

I think it's fair to say that they would've made that kind of decision a long time ago, probably yeas ago. If it's there and we haven't heard anything, I imagine they'd be waiting until it looks and plays well enough to blow everyone away and silence the "omgnooo" crowd. ME3's did the same - issues with singleplayer integration aside, once people got a look at the gameplay footage the reaction was pretty positive.

Of course, it's just as likely that the MP question was added for entirely different reasons, and that DA:I won't have any sort of multiplayer at all. That was the reply given by Aaryn Flynn at last year's E3, after all.

i hope its not like in ME3 it was fun at first but got boring fast something more like Neverwinter Nights would be good.
being able to go through the singleplayer story with other players

Aside from the ever-diminishing true social joys of local co-op (for which I am ever-grateful of Nintendo, full-time keepers of that torch) multiplayer of any variety grows full and tedious for me quickly, but I think after the undeniable success of ME3's multiplayer (industry articles refer to its basic setup of loot acquisition as an influence on more recent games constantly and the player base remains surprisingly decently-sized) there's no wy a potential Inquisition MP doesn't take some cues.

Curses, my iPhone isn't cooperating today and won't allow me to scroll down in messages. Hence the typos and hence my lack of correcting them.

"Full" should be "dull" (no, stop it autocorrect, almost did it again!) and "wy" should be... well, I figure you can buy that vowel yourselves.

I am with you JeffZero, I sorely miss the days when co-op = split screen/local co-op. The biggest dissapointment of the newer games is that even with all of their increased processing power, next generation engines, etc. local/split screen play is still very, very, very rare. And Nintendo's financial issues don't give me much confidence in the future of 'same console' play.

*Slightly off topic*
I find it interesting that the nintendo 64 was able to have a split screen, console RTS in the form of Starcraft 64 and yet with all of their increased power, and graphical prowess none of the current or next-gen systems have been able to match it. Sure the controls for Starcraft 64 were abysmal, but I have far more fond memories of playing split screen into the wee hours of the morning then I ever did on the computer version.

me and my brother are both bioware fans so if there is local co-op that would be awesome so we could play on the same console but i dont think it would happen .

As you probably know, it doesn't really boil down to technical specifications but interest trends. Every so often I find myself reminding my local friends that our mutual interest in the concept of meeting up somewhere and sharing a few beers over multiple controllers and a single massive screen to accommodate them is a relatively waning one. This past console generation really drove online multiplayer into the limelight more than anything else and while I have nothing against people enjoying that it's a byproduct that my vastly preferred experience takes the hit.

I think your concern re: Nintendo is well-founded, but honestly, I think if any company can try to "modernize" its approach to online functionality withot sacrificing the timeless communal element of our personal preferences, it's them. And they have more than enough in those coffers to weather the storm that is the Wii U in the meantime.

Now it appears I've run off-topic quite a bit. What can I do to steer this ship back on-course? Post a tweet? Alas, doing so from an out-of-date phone is a hassle. Let's just entertain the notion I'm on-topic and go forward from here.

Patrick is on a roll today...on second thought he's always on a roll. XD

Regarding multiplayer, I would love to see something similar to what was done for ME3, but with a DA feel.

I think there was a tweet from Mr. Gaider that said something about Transformers and it was negative if I recall correctly, but don't trust me on this. And of course he was talking about the movies.

Easily the worst wing of the franchise I've endured, so that would make sense. :P

I say do it.  Infecting them with the plague is only fitting punishment.

"Every time one of you mentions a Transformer, I will blow my nose on your sleeve." Hmm. Tempting.

Uncommon?  Those movies are unwatchably terrible.

David's aversion to them is worthy of praise.

I can sincerely echo the view that the  Transformers movie was unwatchably terrible.

Pfft. I disliked the Transformers movies before it was popular to dislike the Transformers movies. It really didn't help much when people told me the second and third movie was even worse, so I haven't watched those.

I still can't forgive myself for watching dark side of the moon at the cinema.

It's not like I enjoyed the previous ones or anything, me and my brother were just really bored and went to watch something. How we managed to settle on that particular movie I'll never understand.
