^This.

Ticks are more horrifying than spiders, IMO.

I live in a high rise building and used to have spiders that lived outside the windows. It was always fun to watch them make webs. One was particularly large, so I named her Tiny. And her successors every year were Tiny II, Tiny III, and so forth...

I miss those spiders.

Rather than a giant spider, I'd rather fight a ton of tiny spiders that are all grouped up and swarm over your character as an attack.

I agree.

In terms of Dragon Age enemies: Children of the Mother (especially metamorphisizing Children of the Mother) > Spiders.

That being said, I do hope that we see the Children in Inquisition; I am interested to see what their 'evolution' would look like in the Frost Brite engine.

Where do you all come up with this stuff?

I'm not going to be able to sleep for a week.

Wolf Spiders.  They weren't infrequent where I grew up.  Hello terrible fear of spiders.  If DAI has GIANT wolf spiders, complete with tons of tiny babies that swarm you, I may cry.  :crying:

*edit* Switching to this pic to a link so people aren't forced to see the horrible-ness. Sorry!

That would actually be an interesting encounter. They could be present above the party, and when they ambushed they release the spiders on all the characters.

Why are people so afraid of spiders? I get they're unpleasant but to the point of paranoia? Or is 1/3 of the human race afflicted with arachnophobia? xD

Well, now I know my plans for world domination...

I woke up to a cellar spider next to my pillow
Not a great view to wake up to...

Is it evil that I laughed out loud?

A cockroach infestation is way worse. I had one, it was not pretty, really, it puts you off your own home.

Where do you all come up with this stuff?

I'm not going to be able to sleep for a week.

Come to Australia, Jimmy. We have all the spiders anyone could want.

Personally, I think snakes would do a better job in my case than spiders. Not just giant snakes or something though. Camouflaged snakes that jump out at you as soon as you get close. Possibly even multiple ones unless you paid enough attention. I remember playing Dark Souls when I got too close thinking there was a vine by the tree until I went 'Wait. That's no vine.......OH **************'

Edit: It also doesn't help that around my area, there's the chance for rattle snakes.

No kidding. A friend of mine had a huntsman come out of his toilet paper roll the other day.

Sort of on topic. This tweet from the other day made me laugh:
‏@davidgaider Apparently I've nothing better to do tonight than write Tumblr posts. Maybe I should go read a book instead.
User OR you could write Alistair valentines cards for us lonely chicks to cuddle with on valentines day ;D‏
@davidgaider I cannot imagine what my version of an Alistair valentine card would look like.

I could.

*snip*

Ugh, I've had quite a few encounters with wolf spiders in the past. One was even in my house! It was crawling on the wall right above my head as I was watching tv, and my boyfriend at the time (who was severely creeped out by spiders) walked in and his eyes got real wide. I had no idea what his issue was until I looked up and saw this big spider just hanging out there. Ack. That was an awful experience. Needless to say I'm not a big fan of spiders.

Out of context, this could be a VERY dirty statement.

If you spam irrelevant pics (that are just not polite to post either, considering people could have phobias about them) the thread could get locked. Please stop that. I recommend a moderator removing the pics from the previous posts just to be safe.

Regarding that 'I am so bard right now' twitter post, it could be a hint for Leliana, since she'll be in the game?
