Ticks are more horrifying than spiders, IMO.

I agree.
In terms of Dragon Age enemies: Children of the Mother (especially metamorphisizing Children of the Mother) > Spiders.
That being said, I do hope that we see the Children in Inquisition; I am interested to see what their 'evolution' would look like in the Frost Brite engine.

Rather than a giant spider, I'd rather fight a ton of tiny spiders that are all grouped up and swarm over your character as an attack.
Where do you all come up with this stuff?
I'm not going to be able to sleep for a week.

Wolf Spiders. They weren't infrequent where I grew up. Hello terrible fear of spiders. If DAI has GIANT wolf spiders, complete with tons of tiny babies that swarm you, I may cry.
*edit* Switching to this pic to a link so people aren't forced to see the horrible-ness. Sorry!

Why are people so afraid of spiders? I get they're unpleasant but to the point of paranoia? Or is 1/3 of the human race afflicted with arachnophobia? xD
Well, now I know my plans for world domination...
I woke up to a cellar spider next to my pillow
Not a great view to wake up to...
Is it evil that I laughed out loud?
A cockroach infestation is way worse. I had one, it was not pretty, really, it puts you off your own home.

Edit: It also doesn't help that around my area, there's the chance for rattle snakes.

Sort of on topic. This tweet from the other day made me laugh:
@davidgaider Apparently I've nothing better to do tonight than write Tumblr posts. Maybe I should go read a book instead.
User OR you could write Alistair valentines cards for us lonely chicks to cuddle with on valentines day ;D
@davidgaider I cannot imagine what my version of an Alistair valentine card would look like.
I could.

*snip*
Ugh, I've had quite a few encounters with wolf spiders in the past. One was even in my house! It was crawling on the wall right above my head as I was watching tv, and my boyfriend at the time (who was severely creeped out by spiders) walked in and his eyes got real wide. I had no idea what his issue was until I looked up and saw this big spider just hanging out there. Ack. That was an awful experience. Needless to say I'm not a big fan of spiders.

I hope they let us know who wrote who when the companions are revealed

Regarding that 'I am so bard right now' twitter post, it could be a hint for Leliana, since she'll be in the game?
