In all honesty, there've been much worse threads, though I agree that I'm always a bit wary about starting threads based on twitter posts. Especially in this case though, we didn't need a thread to discuss the fact that all Gaider did was say that they've decided on to have the warden and hawke or not. The discussion as I mentioned in my previous post can certainly merit a thread, but not centered on a very clear twitter post Gaider made. If we want to discuss twitter posts, we have a twitter thread for that.lynroy wrote...

It was an x-gaiden-x thread, though. Those are destined to be locked roughyl 39% of the time by default alone.

None anywhere we've visited so far. Doesn't rule them out long term, though.
I thought it was once mentioned that they had elephants in tervinter... ?

The Imperium draws a variety of soldiers from its territories to form an impressive army. Most noted throughout Thedas, however, is the use of elephant mounts that have been imported into Tevinter for centuries through the coastal colonies near the northwestern jungles.

I can imagine the PC riding into battle on the back of an elephants.

if there is ever a game with elephants in it, there is almost a required easter egg of a dwarf and an elf arguing about how many kills one is worth.
I would happily settle for any npc saying "they only count as one"

Wonder why there are Tevinter soldiers listed as a faction, if we don't go there? Could they be encountered in other areas of Thedas? Nevarra?

Considering tevinter slavers appered like 10 times every act of DA2, I wouldn't expect them to be rare. I like the idea of fighting all the new creatures and enemies.

I know spiders tend to be helpful, but their appearance just makes my skin crawl and I HATE the ones in the game that drop down randomly! Never jumped so high off a chair when I've played a game before, lol.

Don't think so, all Mark Darrah said in the PAX demo was that they were opposed to the inquisition's interests.FireAndBlood wrote...

They had dialogue like "He will rise again", but I don't think there was confirmation of where they were from.

In the artwork with the female qunari Inquisitor and the bloody prisoner , he has a serpent tatoo...
And when Matt Rhodes redesign Fenris , he had the same kind of tatoos and Matt R.wrote the art team recreated a new type of Tevinter imagery.
So everything points out at npcs coming from Tevinter.Which isn't surprising in DA:O , DAI we met Tevinter slavers.

(Also a multiplayer enemy faction?
Were the Venatori mentioned in World of Thedas? My copy is in another country so I can't check.
Edit: I swear I can spell.
