Agreed. Cole might not be able to interact in a social environment normally, and understanding humans isn't needed in order to murder them.
Gameplay wise, it would be fun to have Cole be his *own* class. I don't exactly see him "kicking ass and chewing gum" but I do see him lurking in the shadows, executing people as he goes.
But then... how does the rest of the party see him? Can he be seen by everybody now? Or does he posses the power to be seen when he wants to and can control it?
Cole is an enigma, and by the end he is left an enigma. There's little to know about his true nature other that being a demon (who can't recall he is?)

I must resign myself to the fact there's one #DAI follower for whom I will have to ignore any and all fanfiction regarding. #LALALALALA
Cullen and Cole comes to mind|
I never read Asunder, so i don't know who and how Cole is =P but the dude has a pretty good fanbase just on tumblr
...it is most likely Cole as someone suggested xD i can imagine the uh, very perverted fanfics featuring him

With all the tears in the veil, we have no idea if this may have an affect on how Cole's abilities or memories function at this point.

Claudia from the Vampire Chronicles comes to mind as being similar in some ways. She was a predator and her mind was older than any mortal's, but she was trapped in the body of a child. Cole isn't an actual child, but he has a childlike understanding of human sexuality, which is what is off-putting about him as a LI.EJ107 wrote...
And like I said above, the moral implications of a child-minded charcter fighting and being beaten up by enemies alongside us are questionable. If he is a companion it would have to be handled delicately.

I think that last confrontation between Cole and Lambert in Lambert's office tells all we need to know about Cole.ElitePinecone wrote...

David would obviously know best, but I got the sense that Cole is child-like in the sense of being socially underdeveloped (as a byproduct of the invisibility) and clueless about human behaviour (because he's a spirit thing?) - not literally with the mental capacity of a child.
It's all about presentation, and I'm happy to agree that it would be pretty disturbing to lead someone into battle if they genuinely were shown to act and behave like a kid.
(Though - didn't Jade Empire have that possessed girl as a companion? Or did she disappear when the demon inside of her attacked people?)
He confronts Lambert by, I got the mental image, standing on Lambert's desk with his dagger at Lambert's throat. The "look into my eyes" bit I think shows that Cole is very much an "adult".
Also, on the whole being able to see him or not... Cole was able to be seen by those that were about to die. I imagine the majority of the Inquisition figure they are close to death at all tiems so....

John Epler@eplerjc: @BioMaryKirby Like.. do we put the Skittles in the Tequila? I've got a couple of days off, and I'm always open to Science.
Mary Kirby@BioMaryKirby: @eplerjc No, no. Handful of Skittles. Followed by a swig of Tequila. Luke was very specific about this dish.
John Epler@eplerjc: @BioMaryKirby Oh. Well, I'm going to put some Skittles in Tequila anyways. It seems like a good idea.

That's what I thought. If he was initially a spirit (or a not very experienced demon, I suppose) he would know practically nothing of life. When he went to comfort/possess the boy-Cole his knowlege of reality would be limited to what the boy knew. The isolation would preserve that, but he has the potential to "grow up." I see the character as being a bit like EDI in ME3, where you have to influence what she becomes. Perhaps it's possible to manipulate Cole into either choosing the path of spirit or demon.ElitePinecone wrote...

Probably and he's( Luke K who was very specific about the dish) also writing her so I guess it's safe to assume that she's a follower though not confirmed yet but long speculated by many, rump roast could be Varric or the iron Bull, not sure about the wax fruit or the rest of them.

The deceptive waxed fruit could be because she looks pretty but if you try to engage her, you find her hollow and disappointing.
I guess I'm not expecting very good things from Viv.
