Gaider said it's a no-go. Curious though, have you read the books? Why do you want to romance someone who is essentially a child. Cole is functionally an adult but socially and mentally he's extremely immature(has a lack of knowledge and understanding). It'd be like romancing a 8yr old in an adults body. Hope he's a companion though.

I am gonna say that Scribe Girl and Fancy 'Tache Dorian are not companions.
I think the DLC character will either be Cullen or someone new.
Y'know, just to make Cullen fans wet their pants with despair.

I can see the appeal of a romance subplot involving a spirit. The whole "otherwordly" aspect is cool, and relationships between spirits and characters are really interesting. Unusual romances stand out and can be more engaging than stardard ones. 

That said, I don't think a murderious man-child spirit is the right place to explore that idea.

Your taking a list of random images we've seen in Inquisitions marketing and assuming that all companions in Inquisition must be derived from it. It's entirely possible that there are companions that we havent seen at all and will appear completely out of nowhere, like Vivienne who appears in none of the early concept art we've seen.

I don't think they'd show anything DLC related in DAI concept art. So trying to force one of the shown characters into "the DLC companion" role is VERY premature imo.

Your taking a list of random images we've seen in Inquisitions marketing and assuming that all companions in Inquisition must be derived from it. It's entirely possible that there are companions that we havent seen at all and will appear completely out of nowhere, like Vivienne who appears in none  of the early concept art we've seen.

TBH I gave up on the idea of Cole as a LI aaaages ago when DG said he wouldn't be one, but the want for him to be still arises stupidly once in a while.
I would still really love for him to be a companion, him and my Inquisitor could be best friends.

I approve of this picture, very helpful. Also, are we sure that's Sera? Looks quite a bit different than all of the art we've seen for her, wich usually show her with short hair, a ponytail, and I think a mohawk in one. Seems wierd they would just switch her to generic shoulder length hair.

The tone wheel and the reaction wheel (the one about emotions) are separate wheels, so I guess diplomatic/sarcastic/aggressive will be separate from happy/sad whatever the emotions portrayed will be. Of course, the reaction wheel might've been scrapped, but the fact that they confirmed the icons doesn't mean nothing in this regards. The icons could be relevant only to the tone wheel (the action wheel doesn't seem to have it). Though I don't understand your point in your questions. Are you saying that there couldn't be other icons, reflecting different tones/emotions, other than the ones presented in DA2?

No, I think he's saying that the fact that they're using tone wheels again indicates that the vast majority of dialogue for your PC will be limited to whatever select few tones they use to design like in DA 2, otherwise, if they had a wide array of tones depending on circumstances rather than the same consistent tones for every dialogue option, it wouldn't be practical to have a tone icon for every one. 

I'm with him on this -- I think limiting the PC to three distinct tones for every single dialogue option is really limiting and was one of the major inhibitions for me in RPing in DA 2. I think tone should be decided by the context of what the character says -- it shouldn't be the same exact three tones every single time.

It's completely understandable for the thread to go off on brief tangents, but attempting to filter through all of the general, unrelated companion speculation recently has become a bit cumbersome. I'm certain that there are other threads where such things can be discussed in depth.

Well said. I agree, it's silly to speculate so much when only 3/9th of the companions have been revealed. 
I realize it passes the time but it clutters this thread with nothing informative.
