What do you think about the mixed reaction to Cullen lately? Would that ever affect him being in DAI? I like him.

What holiday is today?
I mean... in the U.S., I know its President's Day... but Canadians don't celebrate American Presidents... do they?

It's a statutory holiday, but that's the general idea. It's a chance for people to be out and about with their families.

And they made it in the middle of February? In Canada? That seems like poor planning to my easily-frigid bones.

They made it in february so people can take advantage of snow and frozen lakes when disposing of the bodies of their families

Will we still have investigate options as well as neutral dialogue choice?
Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw:
Writing style is very similar to DAII.
Didn't really like how the dialogs were handled in DA2 but I guess we should give them the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully it'll be a bit better this time.
I know they said they were looking for a balance between DA:O and DAII for this game, but I was really hoping they wouldn't be basing their writing style off of DAII. I found the whole dialog system in DAII very frustrating (wheel, icons, paraphrasing, tones, etc.). Getting rid of the dominant tone is a good start, and I can only hope they've improved on how they implement the other elements.

I don't get why people are so concerned. We know it's voiced and would have a wheel, but the ONLY difference the wheel makes is the arrangement of the options--the icons give an intended tone, but that was ALWAYS there, just invisible before. Gaider's said over and over that even if we didn't see it, the writers still planned for similar (If not identical) tone differences. If you really hate the tone, can't people just focus on the paraphrase/explanation part and ignore the tone?
I guess I can concede that KNOWING the tone is there does change the player's experience...but I don't understand why people would PLAY by tone. Nobody is [olive branch] in all situations, nor is one always likely to be [fist].
