Actually I meant that she is Dumat's reincarnation, but I like your version better. :D
The timing of Andraste's birth and the whole "discovery of Joining" sounds iffy to me.

David Gaider specifically said that they brought back Leliana whether or not you killed her because they wanted to use her again and that they have creative freedom to do whatever they want with the characters. Afaik he's never promised any sort of explanation other than that.
But ignoring that, are you saying that you think Andraste has been reborn as Leliana?

That's my theory. That or she's the true Andraste. I know it's a bit tin foil hat-ish but...I can see it. Posted Image

The mirror as a time-warping device, then? :D

I don't think the absence of elven/dwarven options for the Inquisitor implies at all that the position is only open to humans; it's less about any in-universe restrictions on the position and more about what the creators are restricting us to.

The player character actually being an inquisitor might be just an assumpion based on the name they came up with. I have not seen anything where the devs have said this will be the case. As we know them, Inquisitions are a church-mandated/sponsored witch hunt (literally and figuratively, depending on the time frame), so it makes better sense to me that the player would have to do something about it (help or hinder to bring it to some sort of conclusion) rather than be an inquisitor him/herself. However, if someone knows where the devs have actually stated this either way, I'd be very happy to see it.

That being said, the human restriction could very well be something like dwarves being unable to be mages; perhaps there is something in humans required to do.. whatever it is the player character is supposed to do. I'm hoping for some lore to explain it. In any case, I'm just happy to be able to play as my own gender - some games don't even let you do that, and I don't play if I have to do so as a male.

A marketing survey circulating late last year before the official announcement of the game identified the player character as the Inquisitor, and stated that the Inquisition forms around the protagonist.

It's not a case of "the player character is an elf, and elves can't join the Inquisition" - it's more like "all player characters are human, and the player character becomes the first Inquisitor, therefore all player-character-Inquisitors are human."

It's entirely possible other races *can* become Inquisitors (there's certainly an elf in the survey's list of potential party members), we don't know at this point whether the companions join the Inquisition or are with the player for other reasons. I guess not many of the Warden's companions became Wardens, but we'll have to wait and see.

P.D.: We want more of this for DA 3. Just bring Morrigan and Flemeth back! (I like the new red cape for Morrigan, it suits her personality).
A battle between mother and daughter would be epic. In fact, all fans actually know it is inevitable to solve the main conflict. Anyway, I would not mind if you preffer to keep your ace in the hole to assure the future of the franchise. But I (and your best fans) have been waiting a lot since DA: O - DLC Witch Hunt!

I'm so buying this book!

Well, a battle between Morrigan and Flemeth would indeed be interesting. Morrigan looks really pissed off in that cover. =D

Oooooh. That sounds good. Although, I hope it's not...too much Fast Travel. Maybe once we get to the place we can then have the option to fast travel there?

Also, I really hope there's a Mirror of Transformation. I can't tell you how many games I've started and had to ditch cuz something went--ahem--horribly wrong w/my CC skills. Lol. Then your faced w/the real question: Do I actually restart the whole game just cuz of this face? Or do I endure the entire game w/ this face? Am I that superficial?

....Yes! Yes, I am. Restart. Ugh. But it's not just superficial. Really! I find it can be very distracting when something like the mouth and nose are toooo far apart. It bothers me.

So, we may be getting a Dragon Age III trailer today.

Its just speculation, but today Manveer Heir, who works on ME3 tweeted that the ME3 team got to watch a DAIII video put together by the DAIII team and that it looks amazing. Mark Darrah tweeted sometime after that "12 gb. Looks like I'll be killing the connection for a few hours" or something to that extent. A vague tweet that could mean anything, but if I had to guess it would possibly be a DAIII trailer or video of some sort that he's uploading to YouTube. Keep your eyes peeled people :)

HUZZAH!!! Posted Image

The lack of locations was one of the biggest disappointments in DAII for me, so I'm glad to see that won't be the case again. I hope this means the return of the blood trails on the world map! Posted Image

Or he's just uploading the video to EA's servers(or something like Dropbox) so EA and/or other Bioware studios involved in development can check out the video. I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Like I said its just speculation. I obviously won't be able to get confirmation from anyone at BioWare, but I hope there is some sort of trailer released soon. If there isn't, then no harm done. Either way I'm just cautiously optimistic but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Speculation is speculation after all *cough* that one February *cough*

I hope we get a trailer very soon, but I would be willing to bet that development is behind schedule. They kept saying "no details until 2013" but kept revealing details in 2012. They even said they wouldn't announce the game until they had something to show us but then went ahead and revealed the game. And they pushed back their sprint review day. Speculation on my part, they're way behind schedule and don't have a trailer ready to show us.
Either way, there's no chance a trailer would be 12 GB. That's the size of like 2 full-length HD movies.

Didn't they say we'd be seeing gameplay before a trailer?

Either way, perhaps the video is one of those promotional ones where the devs talk about the game and show a couple of shots from the cut scenes and stuff. Here's hoping they've put it together ready for when they start releasing info to the general public.

I remember Mark saying that the video he recorded was for internal use only - it was only going to be shown to Bioware employees.

Also, 12gb would be one hell of a trailer. o__o It sounds more like a game build or something.

It'd be nice, but I don't think they're going to release anything just yet.

Yeah, 12 GB is ginormous, there's no way that is the trailer. Maybe the two instances you connected aren't related, and the 12 GB tweet refers to something else. Either way, the ME team apparently still saw DA3 video, so that is always good.
