But, I love that kind of stuff. :happy:Chanda wrote...
Wouldn't it suck if there wasn't any new information in the Dev diaries at all. It was just a bunch of, "Oh, this what I do, and this how I make the game, with my coffee in one hand and my pet nug Rambo perched on my desk, and I like chocolate covered coffee beans quite a bit. DAI? Oh sorry, we can't talk about that feature just yet. But soon! ...What? No, I can't talk about that feature, either. Sorry. But soon!"

What? New information? That won't come until we're immeasurably excited. That will occur after having achieved extreme excitement, at a later date.
Huh? When? Sometime between now and release, I imagine."

Sorry if this is off topic, but I didn't want to start a new thread just for a quick question. Does anyone know, or can someone tweet a dev and ask if any of them will be at Emerald City ComiCon this year? Yes, I know it's "ComiCon", but the Dragon Age novels fit the bill, and they've added a Gaming section to ECCC. I just wanted to know if they'll have a presence there.
edit: spelling :innocent:
Hm, I doubt any BioWare folks'll be there (tho last year Dark Horse did have the artist from the comic book there which was cool), but I'll check. I'm going to be Minioning (volunteering) at ECCC, so if any of you are coming you should say HI! I'll be running one of the panel rooms, but I don't know which one yet.

Haha, late to the party dude.
On The "Gay" Thing.
What Polygon quoted in their article comes from the above posted Tumblr blog post that David did earlier this week.

He is? I thought he was married. To a woman. Huh. Maybe I'm confusing him with another Dev.

I'm trying to figure out how they would work. Having a solid plate like that fixed around the arch of the foot and up the front of the calf.....wouldn't that act like a downhill ski boot and limit the 'bendiness' of her ankles? I'm thinking she's going to be a very stiff walker.

Realism has its uses, but artistic license is often more important in visual entertainment such as games. I think she looks good.Jaulen wrote...

That'd be lovely, frankly. This industry has a habit of perpetuating a laser-like focus on the people working at the very top of the leadership pyramid. I'd love to see some mid-level (and low-level!) folks talk about what they do and what they like about what they do, about their interests and work history and how they solve problems.
The Irrational closure has got me thinking a lot about the folks actually scripting events, lovingly rendering crates, and copy-editing the codex entries who tend to get lost in the shuffle.
I understand my opinion might differ from a lot of yours here but I don't really care to know more about what DA:I will be like. It will be what it will be. I'm a lot more interested in the office culture and people involved in these games.

I think she looks good too.....just that the plates on the boots would limit her mobility (or the mobility of the coplayers). This would be solved by adding in a pin-hinge (and potentially a slide) to the plate and making it a 2 part plate instead of one.

Not gonna lie, when I clicked on "Varric Chest" I was a TINY bit disappointed to not just get a screen-wide expanse of chest hair.
Jo Berry @Joanna_Berry
@PatrickWeekes Like I've said before, some armour has embossed muscles on it: Varric's should have embossed chest hair.
