You didn't notice before? She had them in both the E3 trailer and the GI coverage.Beerfish wrote...
Cassandra has hearts on her armour and boots? What is this world coming to?
I guess changing her armour remove them, since I don't recall she had them in the PAX demo.

Wouldn't it suck if there wasn't any new information in the Dev diaries at all. It was just a bunch of, "Oh, this what I do, and this how I make the game, with my coffee in one hand and my pet nug Rambo perched on my desk, and I like chocolate covered coffee beans quite a bit. DAI? Oh sorry, we can't talk about that feature just yet. But soon! ...What? No, I can't talk about that feature, either. Sorry. But soon!"
That'd be lovely, frankly. This industry has a habit of perpetuating a laser-like focus on the people working at the very top of the leadership pyramid. I'd love to see some mid-level (and low-level!) folks talk about what they do and what they like about what they do, about their interests and work history and how they solve problems.
The Irrational closure has got me thinking a lot about the folks actually scripting events, lovingly rendering crates, and copy-editing the codex entries who tend to get lost in the shuffle.
I understand my opinion might differ from a lot of yours here but I don't really care to know more about what DA:I will be like. It will be what it will be. I'm a lot more interested in the office culture and people involved in these games.
My office consists of me parkouring along a wall into my titan, lighting up an opponent while a friend rodeos it and other gleefully rips said pilot out of that titan, to boisterous cheering. Or at least it did...
In general, bring your sass pants when entering office 546.

Some folks have been asking who will be doing music for DAI. Happy to say it's @MorrisTrevor, who, it turns out, is from my home town.
John Elper@eplerjc: @Mike_Laidlaw @MorrisTrevor Just listen to one more sample tape. Nugsplosion'll be big, and you'll wish you'd gotten in on the ground floor.

She had them on the PAX demo, with either armor look.
You can start to wonder why a hotheaded stoic wear hearts on her shoulders and boots.

Every meeting today has either been cancelled without me knowing, or nobody else has bothered to show. Beginning to develop a complex.
John Epler @eplerjc
Alright, either this is going to be a glorious thing in-game or it's going to break horribly. PERHAPS BOTH.

..Either that or she is actually an elven mage who got her soul stolen and thus
the only emotion she feels are outbursts of anger (which Cass has
but she has memorys of her memorys of loving an elven king... =P

I mean she sort of had some "romantic" side , but Aveline who was also a badass warrior woman already had that quirk.
Cassandra seems less nice .In the Pax demo , she was all for leaving the village to burn and not looking back.In Dawn of the Seeker , she was almost always foaming at the mouth and killing everything in sight.
I just have a bad feeling about this , like Dolores Umbridge meets Annie from Misery .
Anyway Cassandra 's probably a hopeless romantic deep down or something...But I won't trust her for a while.

Well, she was a teen/young adult and you tend to be more or less idealistic (or radical) in this stage of development.Reznore57 wrote...

If you take that in account and that her beloved brother was killed by mages, then her raging can be excused imho.
And besides that, that was twenty years ago.. people change.. Though she still has still a temper, but if you
you remember how she acted at the end of DA: Varics Tale you could see that she can be nice. =)

Perhaps it's the look she takes on after being romanced? The same way that DA II LIs had red sashes tied to them.ManchesterUnitedFan1 wrote...

And hey, looks like Patrick and Karin Weekes might be at Gaymer X this year, along with David Gaider! I'm excited to finally be able to attend a con in my own backyard. Whee~

Maybe she just likes hearts. Or the designers like hearts. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I was thinking that too. It's an interesting cultural phenomenon that because of the existence of hearts, it must be romantic/love related. I sit back and soak up the sociology!

I guess it's a symbol for all the hearts she rips out of her enemies and then eats. Simple logic ...<3

Maybe she's more complicated and nuanced than just being aggressive 100% of the time (which, yes, is how she was portrayed in Dawn of the Seeker, and it annoyed the crap out of me.).Reznore57 wrote...

Heh, as a cultural anthropology student that's effectively what I do. And it's a damn fine excuse to spend a few hours a week around these parts too.
