Sometimes I feel alien at BioWare, being someone who neither owns nor particularly appreciates LEGO.
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes:
@davidgaider I would consider the entire Dragon Age IP to be your personal LEGO set.
-------------
Frankly, I'm surprised there hasn't been a DA LEGO set released!

As for the lack of LEGO Dragon Age, I'd imagine the folks at LEGO frowned too much at the suggestion of blood-splattered little bright-yellow smiling faces.

They could always do Mass Effect, though.JeffZero wrote...
I'm with Gaider on that.

Seriously though, extrapolating from Gaider's comment, I didn't think I could possibly want to work at Bioware more, but now I've managed to. Sounds like I'd fit in well. Now if only a non-Senior level concept artist position would open up..

I don't know... looking at the ME3 Twitter thread, it really died a lot the closer to release the game got. Devs just stop Tweeting, or their Tweets become increasingly superfluous when compared to the actual marketing/release information. In fact, we are already starting to see that here - people are complaining somewhere along the lines that devs are just teasing without saying anything of substance, as if this isn't just someone's personal Twitter account who'd like to express how excited they are about their job.
I think right at 1000 would be a good guess. Once the real marketing hype replaces the fan-created Twitter hype, things will really slow down.
EDIT: Looking at it more, there was only ~20 pages from the time ME3 went Gold until release. Only ~40 from the time of the demo. And a cool even 100 from the time of the first major non-teaser trailers. While over 600 pages from before that point. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a similar trajectory for this thread.

I encountered a lots of people acting like that, I mean the "you're not a true gamer because you do not play X". Or the way more popular: If you don't like X, you are a [insulting term of the week].
I do like Gaider's answer though and it's pretty much what I do myself.

Which is at first glance sort of ironic considering the tenants of my chosen major champion a very tolerant cross-cultural worldview, but frankly the line must be drawn between peoples practicing their cultural way of life and asses practicing ****ery. Besides, I'm doing them a favor by leaving them to their nonsense.
In the end I suppose it transforms me into a bit of an elitist snob myself -- indeed, the very pattern I so detest. But my elitism is simpler and more approachable: if you see me playing my 3DS at school and come up to me cordially, you might just have yourself a new friend. By contrast, if you come up to me complaining supremely of eleven different flavors of self-righteous anger you experienced when playing the game currently residing in my cartridge slot, then attempt to regale me with a tantrum of "the good old days" and how it's all fallen apart and life sucks because _____ no longer makes what I like and I can't remotely adapt, well, real life has an ignore list too.
True Gamers need not apply.

I know you are speaking in hyperbole, but the ME3 Twitter thread actually didn't receive all that much attention when the BSN imploded after the ending debacle. So while this forum might go crazy, the Twitter thread might not even see a huge spike outside of a few dozen pages.

I hope so, I'm looking forward to whatever secret project Jessica's been working on for the past year or more. She was mentioning it a lot after ME3 came out but it kinda fell under the radar for a while.DAYtheELF wrote...

From the way it sounded I thought it was some kind of Bioware social space that let users give feedback and interact with others but in a way that didn't necessarily lead to hostility or negativity.
(and that's the kind of thing that would require a QA person, you'd think)

Yep. I was recently told that I'm not a gamer because I don't want to/haven't played GTA. Gaider's response is excellent.
I predict that we're either getting info later today or tomorrow.
