Tom Perlinski @tomperlinski:
How many other jobs are there where discussing the difference between bandits and brigands is actually relevant?
@tomperlinski I think the difference is pretty obvious. #SpelledDifferently
It's taken a bit to get used to the white, but other than that, the new place looks great. On the subject of the scripts, for some reason I imgined the the voice of the Inquisitor being voiced by Kevin Conroy.
If you enter this contest http://blog.bioware.com/2014/02/25/take-your-place-in-the-inquisition/ … and win, I promise your character won't do anything embarrassing ambiently or in cutscene.
@eplerjc I make no such promises.
@davidgaider I never said they won't -say- anything embarrassing. But their animations will be replete with dignity and class.
@eplerjc I've seen your animations. I don't think you can make that promise, either.
lol
I'm starting to think that BioWare should make a comical "modern" RPG game about game developers to capitalize on all those twitters.
Jessica Marzipan @JessicaMerizan:BioWare Community has a YouTube Channel! SUBSCRIBE! http://blog.bioware....he-inquisition/ … ALSO A VOICE OVER CONTEST. Take your place in @dragonage SQUEE!
Aww, this seems so amazing! Now I'm a bit sad I can't even try and participate ... ![]()
(Not that I had any experience with that kind of stuff, anyway, but still ...)
Wow, that contest is amazing! I wish I could participate...and that I could voice-act.

Maybe that's what the new IP is! ![]()
Looks like they've opened a thread specifically for the Contest:

I love how they're referring to the Inquisitor as "Your Worship" in the first VA script.
Sounds great with Celene and Gaspard, too. Can't wait for this game now.
Thank you! Makes sense now:) I'll start practising on the weekend:) cheers!
No problem, glad to help ![]()
I wish you the very best of luck ![]()
Haha neat contest. Not to sound cocky but I'm great with voices! Too bad I have no recording equipment...
I actually feel like I may have a shot.. ![]()

Maybe they should make a similar thread to sticky within the DAI, so more people can see it?

Epler mentions that he'll make you appear with dignity and class but says nothing about the naked dwarves that will no doubt swarm your character that only the Inquisitor can see.
Gaspard vs. Celene CONFIRMED IN SCRIPT:
Interesting, but Civil War confirmed. A couple of months ago.
In all honesty, I might do this for fun.
Heartbroken that people from outside English speaking regions can't entire. I speak flawless English as I've been educated in English for the past six years and am not allowed to enter because I'm from Holland. Sad, really.

I don't necessarily think its because of quality of English voices, rather it might have to due with the fact that they're (possibly?) going to fly the person to their studio to record. International flight tickets would therein be more money.

A ticket from for instance Denver to California is far more expensive than a ticket from Amsterdam to London, as they can fly people to different studios. So in that respect it wouldn't make that much of a difference, I might just enter anyway just for fun. If you never try, you'll never know ![]()
User:
Will there be any character modeling competitions in the future?
Mike Laidlaw:
I'm not sure.
My guess is that there are some legal reasons behind the restrictions when it comes to eligible countries. I've seen that restriction before in BW contests, even when they weren't bringing anybody to the studio.

True true, excuse me while I place my foot in my mouth now.
Good luck to you regardless

No need for that, I'm just trying to keep my hopes up

While I'm neither part of the community team nor have I consulted with our lawyers, typically these kind of territorial restrictions are in place because of the legalities of running contests (or draws, or judged events, or ...) that offer prizes (or rewards of some kind) in different jurisdictions. For an example of similar boilerplate I grabbed from Tim Hortons' Roll Up The Rim event:
http://www.rollupthe...nline-rules.php
The Contest is limited to all residents of Canada and the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (excluding Rhode Island, Arizona, Hawaii, Florida, Alaska and Puerto Rico). Void in excluded states and where prohibited by law.

That would explain a lot. Doesn't do much to cheer me up, but that's as good an explanation as any, really.
