That would explain a lot. Doesn't do much to cheer me up, but that's as good an explanation as any, really.
C'mon, cheer up mate and just think of all the gold we won in Sochi this year! Yes, greetings from a fellow Dutchman ![]()

Haha if only I was a fan of ice skating instead of football, I would've been one of the happiest Dutchies in the world

Oh, if any of you are planning to enter and need someone to edit the audio together, then I'd be happy to help.

Yeah, noticed your avatar. I'm thrilled, because with me it's the other way around =p
Well, every fellow BSN'er that is going to participate in the contest: good luck! Maker bless you.

I understand the legal angle of it. Each contry has their own laws about winning prizes (taxes etc) so it could've been a lot of hassle for the legal team.

Probably. I don't blame Bioware in any way for the fact there's legal issues with allowing participants from other countries to join, but I just feel that there's really no reason for nations to have such complex laws regarding this issue. There's just a great opportunity for someone to become part of a franchise they well and truly love and all they will do for that franchise will be visiting one of the Bioware studios and speaking a few lines. I don't really see any harm in that, in fact I would have absolutely loved the opportunity to have a shot at that. But alas, it shall not be so.

Okay I'm impressed, I think I'll do this....but errr do we say both lines? Or just the Inquisitor? Sorry everyone lol
I pretty sure you just play the villager/seneschal
Scene One: A villager confronts the Inquisitor, who is passing through the area.
You are playing the part of the Villager
Plus the villager and seneschal are given an emotion/directional thing where as the inquisitor is not.

This was retweeted by Mike Laidlaw, so I assume it has to do with Dragon Age in some respect:
We're making something for BIOWARE! and now I am going to TELL YOU ALL ABO- mfff ffmmmmMMM MMM MMM! http://www.failbettergames.com/?p=1433
Failbetter made Fallen London, which I believe Mike has mentioned a few times as a game he enjoyed.
I used to play Fallen London a lot. Gave it up because there was a lot of grinding involved. But it was well written.
It's taken a bit to get used to the white, but other than that, the new place looks great. On the subject of the scripts, for some reason I imgined the the voice of the Inquisitor being voiced by Kevin Conroy.
Having Kevin Conroy would be awesome.

I was very excited when I heard about the contest, but that didn’t last long… I’m not eligible since I live in Italy.I totally understand opening up a contest in multiple countries is a hassle because of the different laws and regulations… Just let me say: Not fair!!!
I can relate to this feeling, since I'm also from Europe and only those from the UK are eligible to participate.
I understand that the whole situation with the different laws and regulations is complicated... But still so close yet so far...

Huh. For once, living in Australia is a good thing! I might give it a try, but honestly, I can't imagine a character with an Aussie accent in DA:I. Especially if said villager/seneschal is supposed to be Orlesian. ![]()

They used an instance where there is an emotional character, and the inquisitor doesn't have many lines, or many important lines, and not much important info is given away.

Definitely, I also believe that especially a villager could very well have a far different accent than the upper layer of Orlesian society. So that shouldn't be too much of an issue I suppose.
Good luck and have fun!

Totally. I'm Aussie too and I'm absolutely going to give it a go.
(I've never voice acted before, although I did get to play Mrs Claus in the kindergarten play, but what a fun opportunity to learn something new!)
(PS. The seneschal script looks incredibly difficult. I'll totally go with the other one.)

The Seneschal script looks like a total blasty-blast. I'm doing that one, for sure, and in as ridiculous a way as I can manage.
