I used to play GoT Ascent, but the mechanic where you had to restart the game over and over and over just to unlock all fealty buildings killed it for me in the end. If Hepler is working on that now, does that mean that she left Bioware? I must have missed that piece of news then.

Oh gosh, Examiner! The worst. No no, a great games journalist I follow on the Tweet machine, Kris Ligman, was just in Edmonton visiting the BW studios and has been talking about an embargoed story that they're turning in today.

 

Oh, nice! Kris retweeted that Failbetter tweet, so maybe that's what they were at Edmonton to hear about? It could be the announcement next week, too.

 

(glancing at some of their other tweets, it sounds like maybe a whole group of journalists were at Bioware? They've done press events like that with embargoes quite a bit in the past, I think.)

Word on the street is there's work being done on a DA browser game. So a partnership with Fail Better, who did the fantastic Fallen London, would seem to point in that direction. Their writing is some of the best so that would certainly be thrilling.

I imagine a studio like that aims to change such things. And they were hired specifically as such.

I haven't felt a pang of regret over not having the necessary hardware to experience Legends or Heroes.

The (formerly) BSN representation is not the only representation. If sales are high enough things will continue to be made. There's a wide market of non-DA fans which can be tapped regardless.

To say nothing of the fact that Failbetter clearly aims loftier.

I have to stay off BSN.....I'm getting too excited for DAI (come ON fall.....time, go faster!) or more news of some sort, that after being here and seeing ANY tidbit..... my mind feels like a hamster caught on a running wheel.

But gawd.....if I was so lucky, hearing my voice in a game would mean......I'd probably skip that part.

If you're eligible I would definitely recommend having a pop! Even if you turn out to be absolutely terrible you at least get a feel for what your character's VA has gone through

Thanks!   I've really enjoyed reading other people's excitement for this game. I also love reading the tweets people post. Bioware dev's are hilarious.
