It's probably just an in engine shot, I doubt they are at the point were they are trimming out effects for performance reasons, for any system.  Tis purty though.

It's phenomenal! I cannot wait to see the final version in person!!!!!  I may have to buy a bib to take care of the inevitable drooling...

 

Such a lovely forest... it's almost a shame to have to decorate with the blood and entrails of the legion of foes undoubtedly dwelling within it.

I don't think they're as early in development as they claim to be. I think the game is almost done.
