OK, so who wrote Dorian?
He's not necessarily Dorian, and we don't know if Dorian is still in.

facepalm:
Dude, come on.
So who wrote Dorian?

I've seen this in several places here on the forum.
Is there a particular reason that people think the "bald elf" character is named Dorian?
Ahhh, so a confluence of assumptions. Okay, I'm caught up now. Carry on.
[REDACTED]
Oh, I'm on the opinion he's the 'Dorian' of the survey. That doesn't mean the elf is necessarily him. There is nothing in his concepts that can lead you to say he's a magister.
Dude, come on.

Shhh.

Do you know something about it, do you
?
The survey has been 100% accurate up to this point. There's no reason to doubt it. And I'm trying to find out if that is Dorian. I don't know how it could have been made any more obvious without just asking Gaider if its Dorian.

I'm not going to say whether she's a companion, or if she's even still in DAI. Not every character mentioned in that survey was a companion, and some of them either no longer exist or have changed signficantly. Hence why I have said before not to hold it up as gospel-- you may be very disappointed.

I believe a couple of fans who paid a visit to Bioware in Edmonton last year were shown early stuff about the game.
Obviously they had to sign NDAs and that kind of thing.
You both do know that might not be his name right, I guess not anyway here's a post from Gaider.

They've already said numerous ttime's that not everyone in that was a companion, that some don't exist anymore or have changed significantly. Not sure why people keep relying on it.
Psh... calm down. Did you actually think that I believed that Gaider would reply to a character's name from an age-old survey? I'm personally just being cheeky.
Hehe, it was still worth a shot though.

The survey hasn't been discredited at all so until something in it is actually shown to be inaccurate then people should stop saying that. Of course BioWare says we shouldn't rely on it. It took some of the wind out of their sails since they want to control the flow of information.
Two of the three currently confirmed companions weren't even in the survey.

We were talking about Leandra. #youmonster
That was Dave's idea. I was simply the messenger.
The gleeful messenger.
You wrote Leandra's lines. I was just the red carpet.

YOU ARE BOTH BAD AND SHOULD FEEL BAD.

Maybe, but then again:

Like, I can call out problematic stuff but my job is really to listen and amplify voices when I can. So follow lots of women.
I thought your job was dramatic camera angles.
Elf sex, mostly.

I want a DA follower who, like Vaughan from Community, just takes off their shirt every time they enter a conversation.
There is literally an animation called takeoffshirt_enter and I WANT TO USE IT.
This needs to happen. Like, seriously. This. Needs. To. Happen.

So something like this?

Alright, I guess there's no denying it anymore: I just love how this guy thinks. Please, dear BioWare, make it happen! ![]()

But have you considered that this might be precisely because they weren't in the survey? Cassandra was revealed in a blog post about customisation years ago, so only Vivienne is someone genuinely new. It hardly makes sense to show three survey characters and have everyone running around for the next year believing 100% of that survey is true. Don't you think if they'd shown Sera, the Iron Bull and Dorian running around with the Inquisitor that people would've started taking the survey even more as gospel than they do now?
Nothing says they had to show off Vivienne, Cassandra and Varric this early - why couldn't it have been a decision made because so many of the other characters (Sera, the Grey Warden, the Iron Bull, Cole, maybe Dorian) were inadvertently leaked ages ago? I'd hazard a guess that from this point forward there are only two or three genuinely new characters that they could even reveal, and maybe fewer than that.

Or it could be Gaider was being truthful, we really can't know until they reveal all the companions if they even do.
