That's REALLY awesome to hear. One of my favorite games in terms of atmosphere and environment is Baten Kaitos, and it's so colorful it can be downright psychedelic at times. (Not that I'd want DA:I to exactly go in that direction because the two series have very different atmosphere, but still.)

Is that a fortress of cake or clouds?

It's clouds!

(And guys, I would just like to restate that I don't want DA: I to look like Baten Kaitos--I'm just saying that having a wider color palatte can be really awesome sometimes. I picked one of the weirder examples as well--BK has plenty of areas that look more like a typical fantasy setting whilte still being imaginative, like a desert with large rock formations and a village built into a mountain with a waterfall in the middle.

...It does actually have a town made out of desserts too, though. But that's supposed to be a part of the world that's weird and creepy even to characters in the game. Regardless, yeah, it's too out there for Dragon Age, but...still. I like color.)

I can't say much for the colour palette yet, naturally, but what I will say is that I LOVE how enthustiastic people at Bioware seem to be about this game. It may not be to my specific tastes when it gets out, but even so I am filled to the brim with respect for the people who are making it.

DA2 got a poor reception, be that fair or not, but the team is not only back on the horse; they're riding it bareback, singing Britney Spears songs, while as naked as the day they were born.

David Gaider (@davidgaider):

Noticed a talk called "Men are from Mars, Women are from Ferelden" at GDC, discussing game romances. I'm going to have to attend that one.

I hope the more colorful thing means rich colors like we've seen in the concept art, because that would be hecka smexy, and not flowers sprouting everywhere and butterflies/fireflies exploding every time I hit a badguy. Cuz I had enough of that in Fable 3. xp

Also the next #sprintreviewday is at the end of the month right?

Here ya go:

David Gaider: "I may have just swooned at some dialogue @SherylChee wrote. #WritersPit"

*Name removed*: "Did you really swoon?!"

David Gaider: "I really swooned. @BioMaryKirby laughed at me."

*Name removed*: "Pics or it didn't happen!"

Mary Kirby: "He did swoon. He even said, "SWOON!" That's how you know it's a legit swoon."

I wish I could see what he was swooning over, it must be amazing if it got DG all a flutter!

Earlier in this thread Brockololly posted a link to some of the artwork.

(Although upon looking back, I see that someone else had linked the DA Kitchen as well.

Awesome.

And interesting! The lady in the circle in the bottom image almost looks like Meredith -- or rather I say, Meredith looked like that lady.

I particularly loved the writing in ME3's time capsule scene, so looking forward to Sylvia's work in DA :D
