Uhm, this isn't a ME forum....
What happened? The mods must've deleted whatever it was...

Someone's been going around advertising an ME-themed GTAV guild thing on half of BSN.

Oh god, the noises.
I will never forget the noises.
(Very fun though. Claudia Black is a legend! Also Australian. *single patriotic tear*)

It could be the Inquisitor, they have pretty iconic armour. But they also might want to save that for last.
They have a difficult decision to make in regards to Inquisitor vs bald elf kits.
They'd have to reveal all classesXraces of inquisitors in iconic armor OR a new companion.
They did just sorta "finish" the CC, so who knows.

Someone mentioned this before but it looks like they're releasing the character kits every two weeks, on Friday. Since Vivienne was last week, that means the next one could be next Friday.
(I have a hunch it will be the mage we saw in the environments video, because the other revealed companions all have kits already)
I would love to see a new character... but I also have a feeling they might just show Leliana's new outfit or someone else we already know ![]()

User:
Are we ever going to get a trailer with a female inquisitor or is it always dudebro o'clock for dragon age?
Time will tell.
This is very important to me, and I will be sorely disappointed if this ends up being the case.

Anyway, I could be wrong on that as I wasn't into DA during either previous vame's promo phase, but I know I haven't seen one as I've curiously checked out trailers recently.

Well the Femshep trailer happened after pretty much everyone asked for it. I hope they won't need the outcry to do it this time. Seems like it would be obvious considering you can be male or female in these games.

The best part of that video that made me really lol was when she told Jessica to hit her and Jessica waited until Claudia was mid-sentence to do it! xD

I pretty much always play female characters in games like mass effect or dragon age, so if they'd give us a trailer with a female lead that'd make me *very* happy. #Femshep&femwarden&femhawke&femquisitor4life

Y'know, I think I would rather see a nug mage as inquisitor trailer than a dudebro as inquisitor trailer at this point.

While I hate that the marketing is totally fixated on only the male option, I shudder to think people might relate showing a male in general as negative, considering it's what I choose.

I'm sorry to say that I'm with you, there.
I try not to by cynical or snide when I bring up Bioware's history of showcasing (or not) female player characters. I know Matt Rhodes goes to great effort to present a balanced blend of races, classes, and genders in the concept art, for example, but we know that's not what most people see. They see the trailers, the commercials, the billboards and posters. To date, all of these that I have seen have featured Garrett, Sheploo, or Generic Male Warden. Then there was the Female Shepard beauty contest on Facebook ... the less of which is said, the better.
It's a shame. It took my male friends weeks of badgering to get me to play Origins because everything I had seen of it told me it was a generic fantasy RPG. I didn't even know you could play as a female Warden, or a non-human Warden, because the limited advertising I saw never demonstrated those options. Same situation with Elder Scrolls games, for that matter, which I also enjoy immensely and learned about through the badgering of male friends.
That's why I say it's a shame, because I should be this genre's target demographic. I love RPGs, I play a lot of them, I have free time and a disposable income. I am an enthusiastic evangelist for games I'm passionate about among my friends. I've convinced seven people, seven women, to play Dragon Age II, and they all loved it. But they didn't pick it up when it was released because they didn't see themselves reflected in the advertising. You see the circular nature of this problem.
It's galling that Bioware, and the AAA games industry in general, will talk often of inclusion but drop the ball so completely in this regard. That I have to beg to be advertised to is frankly ridiculous. Whatever the intent of their advertising campaign may be, the result is that it feels like my vocal support of their work is like a consolation prize. It drives me nuts.
At whose feet can you even lay this problem? The overwhelming majority of the development team have little or no say in how their efforts are marketed. Who does? Is it the Leads? Or just the EP? Or solely the marketing department? EA executives? Who do I have to lobby for representation? And more importantly, why?

We've already probably seen the warrior male Inquisitor default or some semblance of it, albeit partly obscured by a helmet, and it looks fine. Where is the line between "dudebro" and "this person's sex is male" drawn, exactly? I'm a bit confused.
While I hate that the marketing is totally fixated on only the male option, I shudder to think people might relate showing a male in general as negative, considering it's what I choose.
I think they could make a cool trailer that switches between male and female inquisitor, kinda like a trailer that shows you can male or female type thing ![]()
