I've been thinking, we've nearly hit 1000 pages. Don't you think in order to celebrate that milestone the devs should give us a nice juicy reveal of something DA:I related?

I just hope BioWare come back to PAX Australia, since I already have tickets for that. It may be right on top of the DA:I release, though.

If you'll remember, last year at Prime the big DAI event (which turned out to be the live gameplay demo!!!!) wasn't announced until pretty close to the event.

Maybe you should forego subtlety entirely this time around and pack the HD camcorder... just in case.

;)

Well, maybe Bioware's time at PAX will be spent more on Mass Effect or that new IP they've been working on.

Yeah, it's right in that timeframe isn't it. Well, Fall doesn't end until late December, so maybe... ;)

I just watched it; splendid stuff. And now I'm listening to the DA2 ending theme from the terrific Florence + The Machine for only the second time. Great site.

Ahh, stupid computer not having any speakers ... Hmmm I wonder if I can sneakily watch it on my phone????

It was awesome, thanks eluvianix for suggesting it.

And i've never heard that florence version before, so double awesome.

Yeah, I can see them teasing a new ME at E3 and maybe a little drip here and there at the later Pax(es). Until DA comes out though the focus will be almost entirely on it. However, I don't expect to hear anything about the new IP until next year...

I though I was over this, but I just pulled an involuntary ugly and vicious scowl at the thought.

I get pretty much the opposite reaction at the notion.

So a... voluntary handsome and disarming grin, I suppose.

This. While everyone will be expecting more DAI info, they'll probably tease/torture us with ME related reveal or some such. Not sure if that makes me anxious or elated...

I expect them to reveal something then anyway. Cause the pre-order will probably start after or before E3.

Yeah, they'll still have about 90% of their announcements focused on DA but say just enough ME stuff to get everyone excited.

:D Well, attending and then revealing nothing at all would be pretty pointless. I guess we can agree on them revealing something, at least.

And I've had the game preordered at my local game retailer since the Big reveal. (it's more of a pre-preorder, really -  but pretty convenient regardless)

Well, I just wait till it's available on Origin 'cause I think there'll be some additional stuff (items etc.) with the pre-order :)

RE: release date speculation--Look at this list of major releases in 2014. You'll see that the summer is packed and fall relatively sparse. They won't want to be anywhere near Destiny on September 9th, while October and November are practically empty. There aren't any huge releases without solid dates slotted for for Q3, either.

If I were a bettin' girl I'd put my money on November 6th, 3 weeks before US Thanksgiving.

I was in the GDC hall this morning while they were setting up and saw Bioware editor Cameron Harris on the schedule with a talk called, appropriately enough, "You Need an Editor!"

Manveer Heir from Montréal will be there as well, presenting a talk titled "Misogyny, Racism and Homophobia: Where Do Video Games Stand?"

Looks like a solid pair of panels, but nothing that will result in any news.

I am very interested in Manveer's talk, I hope it gets a public release at some point like David Gaider's did.

Shui Ta from Examiner takes that bet.

I've noticed those news sites are multiplying, it's not even just The Examiner any more. MotoringCrunch and SidhTech write the most ridiculous articles based on absolutely nothing, and those articles appear really high on Google News results. Sometimes they take statements made months or years apart and put them together to mean something else, and the headlines are *always* just stupid clickbait.

Like, I know this thread is pretty good at overanalysing dev tweets but at least everyone here is speculating and nobody claims to be a news site. Those faux-news sources can and do give people the wrong impression, and basically spread false information about upcoming games.

I know it's pathetic and people wonder where gaming journalistic integrity went. I've fallen for them thousands of times, it's become the point where I can't trust searching google news for a gaming article because 90% of them are click bait.

Also I thought this thread was 50% fun, 40% tweets, 9% news, 1% sadism from the devs.

Doubt it, November is COD month. I'm guessing October since EA doesn't have a AAA shooter this year, though they still would face competition from Arkham Knight and quite possibly ACV.

Oh god! ACV

If I was BioWare I'd put it somewhere between Arkham Knight and COD. Hopefully there's enough distance between the two dates to slip Inquisition in.

It helps that DA is radically different to almost everything else coming out this year. There's no Skyrim, and now there won't even be The Witcher 3 as competition. It's a pretty sweet spot to be in, I think. (unless Assassin's Creed V is implausibly some kind of epic medieval adventure where they've recreated a scale model of 15th century France or whatever)

If they release it before CoD I don't see November being a problem for release. In fact, DA:O was released on November 3, 2010, and if they keep with the first week of November I would predict 11/4/2014 as the release date. If that just happens to be the actual release date I will be very amused.

Time to go back to lurking. Don't mind me.

I agree.

I'd say there's no real competition for DA: I since The Witcher 3 has been delayed. I guess BioWare has a clear way.
