Would Bioware likely have a preference for announcing something at GDC instead of PAX East?

I am going to PAX East with my kids, and am hoping to have something to nerdgasm about related to DAI.

In that case, given the rumours about new console announcements in late March, it looks like there'll be a lot of gaming news around that time. 

It also just squeaks into the North American Spring rough date that we've been hearing from devs as a guide to when to expect more DA3 info.

Nice spotting about the symbol, although the text description seems to say that's a historical Paragon - Garal, who moved the capital from Kal-Shirok to Orzammar. 

As for the rhino thing, it's a bronto, surely? I can't read the text that clearly, but that fits the description exactly. 

It also does match the silhouette of the animal in the photos, although that animal was under the Tevinter faction banner. It stands to reason the Imperium could be breeding its own brontos as tools of war, though.

Maybe goats, or maybe he's using it as an acranim for Greatest Of All Time. Maybe the best characters ever created in the DA franchise are being implemented in DA3.

Dont know if people know this or not : Just finished watching Dawn of the Seeker

Wasnt a bad movie.. the end references the rebirth of the so called "Inquisition" - trying not to spoil anything for anyone but 
 the Grand Inquisitor or whatever the rank is - is Cassandra.

But Dawn of the Seeker happened a few years before DA2, so surely if the Inquisition had already been reborn then we would've heard about it in the game?

I don't recall that. I remember Cassandra being made the Right Hand of the Divine, but I don't recall her being named Grand Inquisitor.

That's a Bronto.   (and that's DA2 concept art, btw)  Brontos belong to the Dwarves, so I doubt  they'd have any Chantry paraphenilia on them.... unless the damn chantry stole one.

If that bronto outline matches the silhouette under the Tevinter section (I think we all agree that I does), it could be a connection between the Imperium and Kal-Sharok, which is right on the border and was recently discovered to still exist. Add to that the fact that the dwarves there probably don't like Orzammar very much, and you could definitely have a quest line.

The Imperium and the dwarven thaigs used to be trading partners (and quite buddy-buddy at one time), so perhaps brontos originated in the Imperium.

Interesting! I hadn't even considered the possibility of dwarf-on-dwarf conflict.

Hard to know, really - GDC is aimed more at developers so I doubt they'd do a big reveal there? If there was going to be a panel, my guess is at PAX.
