I remember the day when the it was first announced that the Qunari race was an option. I was just scrolling down the page on the old forum and saw the news. All I said was, "Oh, Qunari." Then I saw the MOST EPIC concept art of a female Qunari holding a sword like she was the Queen of Antiva herself. I was then like, "[GASP] QUNARIIII!". I was sold right then and there.

I so want to create a female Qunari mage with that glorious long hair from the concept art.

It's a great image!

The only I'm not sure on are the stubby horns...

I like the swept-back horns we've seen on Rasaan...

I never get tired of seeing that image and I agree on the horns. There is probably a good chance that there would be different horn options to choose from. Personally, I like the horns on Rasaan as well or maybe even horn-less if it's possible. Who knows. All I know is that I will first be playing as a female Qunari mage that has quite a fashion sense.

I have no idea what i'm going to play first, though I'll probably just spend ages playing around with the cc before I make my choice.

I know what I will play first (although it will be hard for me not to play as an dalish elf...) but the real question is this:

Can a Qunari!Inquisitor wear...hats?

It's a legitimate question!

Each horn gets its own wee hat.

Personally, I'm torn between doing my "me" playthrough or my Qunari playthrough first. I normally do my "me" playthrough first (Human male Warrior or Rogue, I think I might go Rogue this time, just to be different), but I really want to roll my female Qunari mage as soon as the game comes out (I'm going to roleplay as a character I designed years ago, just before DA2 came out, as closely as I can). Choosing is so difficult....argh, my brain hurts trying to decide.  Regardless, I'm going to be doing my first Elf character on my third playthrough (female Rogue or Warrior, currently leaning towards Warrior because of my current leanings for my "me" character).

If they're willing to throw nugs onto the chopping block, I have a feeling that Bioware's philosophy will be summed up as, "If it moves, you can kill it... then skin it and make a hat out of it."

I don't expect BW to hesitate about letting our protagonist skin beasts. I remember the elf-turned-werewolf that you mercy-killed in the Brecilian forest in da:o.
Even if you killed her out of mercy, when you looted her body you got a werewolf pelt. Think about it.

Just have to cut out holes for the horns to stick out of.

I couldn't choose between Qunari or Elf to play as first, but then Bioware made the choice easy by making you have to be a Dalish Elf.

Dalish elf mage has always been my first choice.   :wizard:

Qunari rogue will be my second playthrough, though I haven't really decided on the gender.

I think for me it will go:

male Elf mage

male Qunari warrior

female dwarf or human rogue

I always play mage first(even in Mass Effect with the Adept class) and my first and favorite Wardens were both male Elf mages.

Female dwarf rogue first. Leaning towards dual wield, so I can have Varric backing me up with Bianca.

Then Qunari female mage. I'm tempted to play that first, even, but I think my love of DA dwarves will ultimately win out even if I was originally planning to play a mage first this time.

After that, the order I'll tackle my various world states in is undefined. Since I played DAO nine times and DA2 seven so far, I'm expecting eight in total for DAI. (Unless I don't love it as much as the previous two instalments for some reason. Going on current evidence, that seems unlikely.)

I'm thinking human male warrior first, because i have the imagination of a tree stump, then a female qunari and finally a female elf (because whats the point of male elves when they cant have beards)

Me and my three siblings will probably start together DAI with our own main PC:s and play the game in turns like with DAO.

What I have gathered talking about the game with my little brother and my two sisters, we will play these as combinations:

My Inquisitor: Human male warrior shield and sword (yes, maybe I am boring because I played DAO as dual wielder human male rogue and DA2 as twohanded human male warrior but I like to try create different characters with looks and personality alone. Not by race or gender. Adds more challenge that way ;) ). Power hungry, sadist ex-Chevalier who can appear charming and even heroic in the eyes of others if needed but in reality does not give a crap about other peoples lives if they are in the way in his road to power and glory. Likes to draw maps with his future kingdoms in them.  (I think that maybe he likes to rape she-elf servants whenever he has the chance)

My brother`s Inquisitor: Elf male rogue dual daggers. Dalish elf (Keeps up his tradition I quess. Played DAO as Dalish elf and romanced merrill in DA2)

My oldest sister´s Inquisitor: Qunari Female mage (Has played DAO, DA2 and any other RPG with female mage and this is no exception. Likes the idea that she is outsider to all in the third game)

My second oldest sister`s Inquisitor: Qunari Female Roque. (We try to convince her to play as female dwarf so we use every race options but with no luck)

I honestly think I'll have to wait until we see the character creator. At this point pretty much any class and race option is sounding interesting.

I'm interested in hearing what all the different racial backgrounds are. Can't wait until we hear more about this stuff.

I hope it's kinda vague, that way it leaves more freedom for the player to create a backstory of their own.

4)Gawain Trevalyan.

I see I'm not the only person that plans to give Inquisitors names from the Silmarillion. I'm pretty sure I already have both a Melian AND a Nienna planned somewhere along the line.

I have something like ten games that I'll actively want to carry over, but my first character is always a female human mage. I love the idea of three badass mage women running about saving Thedas.

I have already planned that my canon playthrough be a Qunari mage. My canon in the fourth game will be elf (Yes, I've thought that far ahead) if possible, so I've done all four races in my canon (Warden was a dwarf).
