As much as I like followers, I also agree with Sylvius earlier in the thread that it'd be nice if they started discussing mechanics and gameplay, at least a little bit. 

 

Given how much has been hinted about how deep the crafting system is, say, or the use of persuasion skills tied to particular fields of knowledge/expertise, I think there's a lot there to unveil.

 

(Oh, and companion armour customisation - we heard years ago that they were aiming for every companion to be fully customisable, but now it looks like they only have outfits or something?)

Even though Viv loves the clothes and fashions of Orlais, which I think is cool, her character, to me, sounds a bit more like a tough and pragmatic character.

 

This is Orlais, and the clothes and fashions are also tools to get power. You have to play the part.

 

Not only can she climb a mountain in high heels, I strongly suspect that if the situation warranted, she could take those high heels off and kick your butt with them. Lol!

 

It'll be interesting to see if she doesn't loosen up w/the fashion stuff, tho. After awhile on this journey, she may just want sum comfortable walking shoes. As long as you swear not to tell anyone.

By someone new he probably means someone we already sort of know about, like Sera/The blonde elf chick, Grey Warden dude, Iron Bull or IMO most likely the Bald Elf Mage.

Oh yeah, well I mean, that'll still be marvelous.   Just getting an official name and a blurb and whatnot on those characters -- hell, confirming they "really are 100% truly no seriously they really are guys" in the game as companions will be awesome. Nevermind how great it'll be to get some screenshots.

 

Regarding getting more information on systems... I hear y'all, I do. I know characterization is probably BioWare's greatest strength but they ought to start rolling out teasers on gameplay systems fairly soon if they want buzz to spread toward the more gaming-centric corners of the consumer base.
